Hey man. Just wanted to say thanks for all the amazing videos about blender. Not only tutorials and fixes, but showcasing various add-ons and how they work. I've been getting really frustrated trying to finish my first big scene project, with my computer running into random unrelated issues and finding some problems I had no idea how to fix in blender. It's a massive breath of fresh air finding videos like yours that go over how the various options work, and on so many different features too. You do a really good job.

FINALLY a tool that allows you to create reference distances. I was so frustrated working with fspy because accurately aligning the axes is very difficult without a zooming option, and I had to export it to blender at least a dozen times until I found a perspective that vaguely matches the correct proportions of an object within the image. Fspy should've had that reference length option
@bassemb2 жыл бұрын
In fSpy, while dragging an axis corner, you can hold down Shift to get a zoomed in view. fSpy isn't perfect but it's free so I make do with it. And yeah I definitely wish it had reference distances

I can't wait to see this video, I'm at work, so I'm going to watch it at home so I can follow along. I was messing around last night and made a 'low poly' remake of a kitchen picture I had. It would have been much easier with this I think.

Would be nice to see how you'd handle multiple perspectives/pictures of the same object.

Thanks so much for all your tutorials- very accessible to noobs like me. I've been struggling with fspy because I want to model a house all the way around from multiple images. The problem is they're from different cameras and when I import the second fspy file it screws up the first camera. Is there a way to do this with Perspective Plotter? I should add that the house is an old family farm house that burned down a number of years ago, so I can't just go out and take more pictures.

fspy used to be a blender add-on but intentionally moved to be a third party program. The real reason for using this is "because I can make money on it" which is pretty lame when fspy has been offering their program for free for years.

@bme42852 жыл бұрын
Hmm, not free. At least, if I’m gonna pay for it I would have expected it to be better than fspy, possibly being able to easily work with multiple images of the same building. I can’t seem figure out how to do that with fspy. This addon being available within blender is not enough of an incentive to pay for it.
@TheCGEssentials2 жыл бұрын
Totally your call - I'd say there are some other incentives, like the ability to set up multiple different camera views for different angles, but it's a convenience factor that's worth it for some and not for others
@bme42852 жыл бұрын
@@TheCGEssentials I think you’re missing my point. I have just noticed that others have made similar observations to what I said. What I would have liked would be if this addon could easily allow me to import pictures taken of the same building from different sides/perspectives and be able to use those pictures to model the building. Have tried that with dap and it didn’t work. That’s what I’m talking about. If not then the minor inconvenience of having to work outside of blender and in fspy to get my perspective points is fine.
@TheCGEssentials2 жыл бұрын
@@bme4285 Dude - I literally agreed with your statement, AND told you that I believe it can do the thing that you just mentioned, though I haven't tested it - kzbin.info/www/bejne/qGivZndqrL51nZo
