I'm just a week away from starting my final year of university, where I'm majoring in "3D in games and film". However, I've been feeling a bit unsure about my 3D skills, especially modeling and animation. Even though I'm only on part 3 of your tutorial, it feels like something clicked in my mind. For the first time, I feel like I actually understand what I'm doing. I can't wait to finish the series-it's really boosted my confidence as I head into my final year. Thank you so much!

Ok you are probably the best teatcher i found on KZbin. its simple to understand and you explain almost everything basically, in another courses or tutorials sometime i find myself lost for having some issue that they didnt have and did not explained how to solve, but at your tutorials, it just happened once (Thanks GPT saved me). So thanks, man!

this series is exactly what im looking for so far in a tutorial, im a HUUUUUUUUUUUUUGE MML fanboy (well mega man in general but you know) i already know a bit, but to find a good in depth guide for stylizing this sorta thing that doesnt completely hold your hand but also is easy to follow along with, i tend to start doing my own stuff and experimenting while doing a tutorial just so i can feel like my questions are answered, but anyways i appreciate your tutorials so far and cant wait to get all my characters done and on to animating my series ive been planning

So why is it that ive made my cube small and positions properly as you showed us, but then when i go to mirror it the mirror doesnt work anything like yours. But then if i spawn a new cube and cut it in half to mirror it works. Any clue what i might of done to that first cube?

Hey I ran into the same issue. Ik this comment was weeks ago but just wanted to let you know OP responded to another comment that helped me figure out what i did wrong. The exact comment was: " Scaling, rotating and moving objects in Edit Mode does not affect the scale, rotation and translation values of your object in Object Mode. This is important because when you add a Mirror modifier to your object you need these values unaffected, otherwise you may run into mirroring issues! :)". Maybe you moved it in object mode instead of edit mode, like I did, and then the mirror modifier broke. Try re-doing that part in edit mode and see if it solves the problem. Hope this helps ^^

Hi! nice videos! :) Have one question, why you recommend in 19:12 scaling and position the mesh in edit mode? Is not the same in object mode? ty!
@CrashsuneAcademy4 ай бұрын
Excellent question! Scaling, rotating and moving objects in Edit Mode does not affect the scale, rotation and translation values of your object in Object Mode. This is important because when you add a Mirror modifier to your object you need these values unaffected, otherwise you may run into mirroring issues! :)
