May 13, 2021----Thank for showing off these figures....really like what you did with them. But I'm looking at modifying them so they can used used in a zombie/apocalypse diorama. Imagine a snow covered landscape, with a survivor or two trudging thru the snow to where ever. Maybe one of them pulling a sled with their supplies, tent, etc.?

Wenn ich daran zurückdenke, mit welchen Figuren wir Anfang der 80er-Jahre zu tun hatten! Da wären diese im Winde wehenden Mäntel an den Oberkörper und die Beine angegossen gewesen, wodurch es natürlich keine feinen Stöße gegeben hätte. Das war damals nicht möglich. Alles war massiv und so hätte man versuchen müssen, zwischen Mantel und Uniform ein wenig Material wegzufeilen. Wir kannten es damals nicht anders, aber die heutigen Figuren sind fertigungstechnisch so weit überlegen, dass einem nachträglich fast noch die "Tränen in die Augen schießen". Und da sind nicht einmal Resin-Figuren berücksichtigt. Die Art, wie Du Deine Figuren bemalst, gefällt mir sehr gut. Ich nutze für das meiste Acrylfarben, aber für Hauttöne nehme ich ausschließlich Ölfarben, weil ich die Übergänge damit schöner ausgefächert bekomme. Mit Acryl habe ich das nie so gut hingekriegt wie Du. Ich arbeite sehr viel mit Drybrushing (Enamel/Emailfarben) auf den erhabenen Flächen und Ölfarben-Washes in den Vertiefungen. Dazu eine Sache, die mir in Deinen deutschen Bildtiteln aufgefallen ist: Die Übersetzung für "Drybrushing" lautet nicht "Trockenbürsten", sondern "Trockenpinseln". Bürste und Pinsel heißen beide "Brush", daher verstehe ich, woher dieser Fehler kommt, aber Du benutzt für die Technik ja keine Bürste. Nichts für ungut, ich dachte nur, ich sollte Dich mal darauf hinweisen. Ansonsten ist dies wieder mal ein tolles Video und eine Super-Arbeit.

Not a bad job, but if I may nitpick a little here......First of all: I think that the colour of the breadbag is way too dark. They were either green or light brown (or blue in case of Luftwaffe). Also the bottle is stuck too high to the breadbag. They were worn lower. If you know how they were attached, you understand. The cover of the bottle was also more towards fieldgrey, unless you were DAK, because then you could have a so called coconut waterbottle. These were brown. An other thing: the end of the butt stock of a k98k was a metal plate. I didn't see this here. Just a few remarks to make things look more authentic ;) Keep up the good work.

Die Figuren sollten ja nach dem Bemalen ohne Aufwand 'runtergenommen werden können, andererseits aber auch so fest sitzen dass sie nicht gleich von selbst 'runterpurzeln.

I like your technique for painting faces. Simpler than others but it ends up with just as good results. Have you come up with a technique for adding slings to rifles? I have not found a way to do it that satisfies me and find it most difficult.
