Your 53sqm Bahay Kubo video is what I will use as a template. Of course you have a role and our area isn't an area that gets flooded. Barely a km away from Pasig River & 350 ft from it, it is a good starting point for our 100sqm lot with plenty to spare.

@@MODERNBALAI there are taxes involved (of course). Build around the current property is a lot lot cheaper than building a new one. You apply for demolition fee, building permit, etc all with taxes - big taxes. Pag renovation and you use the previous plans and just build around it, taxes are at a minimum. Let's see how the BK fits in.

Aesthetically you conceived something that could easily entice one's awe. The idea is superb. Imagining how would its construction go; I see substantial use of concrete plate slab for the roof, wall and floor. Though there are other ways, the use of concrete plate could be most effective in realizing your intent of bringing our usual 'bahay kubo' concept to some level of sophistication. You certainly deserve a 'crisp' salute for this act of innovation. More power!

This is a nice house in stilts but definitely not a bahay kubo which is designed to sway in earthquakes, open up roof in gush of wind, stilts in flooding, and most importantly easily replaceable parts in case of damage...
