As a Blyth Spartans fan, thank you for including us here. Rivalry aside, I have put money in a bucket when Gateshead were struggling decades ago when you had to play an FA Cup/Trophy game at Croft Park vs Telford. I think. We all have our ups and downs. We (Blyth) are really down right now. There are things in motion to get our club back. Hopefully it won't be too late.

I've followed football since 1964 when my dad taught me what all the numbers in the league tables meant. This is the first season I've had to admit to myself that I've lost interest, though I still enjoy content from channels such as yours so I'm going to keep watching. For me the biggest problem at the top level is the way the modern game looks, and to a lesser extent how it sounds, particularly on TV where watching a match should have you aching to be there soaking up the atmosphere. Over the last couple of decades it's come to resemble a video game, with perfect pitches, grounds that appear identical from the camera's viewpoint, a pitiful range of witless chanting and even goal celebrations seem to be limited to two or three types - click here for a knee slide, click here for the scorer to put his hand to his ear, click here for him to take off his shirt and start twirling it around. As for cup competitions, it's hard to get excited about beating a top club's kids (that sounded a lot better in my head!) no matter how talented a bunch they might be. Not only do you know deep down that it isn't fair competition so you can't take any real credit for it, subconsciously you also feel insulted that another club thinks so little of yours that they didn't bother to send their best players. Nice video. Looking forward to future episodes.

Since the Super League I’ve been saying football is dead and it was also a massive part why I went to non league

So you hadn't heard about the Heed playing in the Isle of Man at Christmas? 😅

I'm not really bothered by that - it's the money for me - fans priced out of the games and fans not really feeling like a part of their own club. Way too much money floating about. Merchandise is so expensive too. The cost of shirts is ridiculous. That's why non league football is so much more attractive - especially with the quality being so much better than it was a few decades ago.
