Hey ma'am! This is such an amazing painting loved it I have a Doubt can we use fevicol instead of mod podge to stick gold leaf and camlin varnish to seal painting??

If the fevicol dries off clear then you can use it to seal gold leaf. I have never worked with camlin varnish .. So, can’t advise you on that. But u can try it on just a small area of the canvas to see if it works

Hi ur video answered all my questions about gold leaf!!! Ur the best!!! I was just wondering tho, can u use solvent based varnish ( winsor and newton professional varnish) on top of the mod podge sealed gold leaf?? Also, how is ur gold leaf doing so far? Any signs of tarnishing or aging?

Thanks 🙂 My gold leaf painting is doing good.. No yellowing or aging. I think solvent based varnish also works good on top of the mod podge.. just to let you know that I am not an expert..🙂🙂

It would have been nicer, if you used a ruler. The lines need to be completely straight...I do art like that all the time. Try it you'll see.

Gloss works too.. but it is a little shiny than ‘Matte’ I guess it adds a little shine.. In the video I used ‘Matte’ ... it is flat , doesn’t have any shine

1. GESSO- First I applied a coat of this. Search as ‘Gesso for acrylic painting’ in amazon.. u will get a lot of options to choose from. I bought mine in USA. 2. MODELLING PASTE- please search as ‘MODELLING paste for acrylic painting’ in amazon. With this you can create a texture on the canvas. Let it dry completely. 3. ACRYLIC PAINTS - search as ‘acrylic paints for canvas painting’ in amazon. 4. GOLD LEAF SHEETS - you can find them in amazon. 5. MODPODGE - Same as all the above.. you can find it in amazon. Matte or gloss anything works. It works as sealer and glue to the gold leaf. As I am not located in India I am unable to give you the exact amazon India links to the products. Let me know if you need anything else.
