What I loved about this was the ability to take random remnant pieces and turn them into squares rather than a odd cuts like a crazy quilt. I am going to try both. This is really pretty. And I bet you perfectly matched your friend's personality and likes.

Superb!! I love the puzzle technique. Crumb quilts are a joy, and this one is a massive crumb block!! I've never tried sewing the layers together on my sewing machine, but there's no real reason not to. Just because I'm chicken hahaha I might try doing quarters of the quilt and assembling them last. So far, I'm a traditionalist but scrap colors. All of yours turn out to be comforting to sleep under )))) All of them will make good dreams. ))) THANKS

Wow! I stumbled-quite happily-upon your website, which led me to your improve quilt and this video. I’ve been quilting traditional pieced quilts since the ‘70s, and I have recently decided to focus on making smaller projects. You have now inspired me to create improv quilts in various sizes, including miniature quilts. I currently have fabric and a pattern for a small throw quilt for a toddler, but it’s now going to be an improve quilt. I can’t wait to get started! Thank you SO much for this fabulous tutorial. By fleece, for the backing, do you mean the type used in windcheaters for clothing? Which side faces outwards? The flat or fluffy side?
@ScrapFabricLove2 жыл бұрын
The kind I use is called anti-pil fleece. I use it fluffyish side out but the kind I buy it looks very similar both sides (not super fluffy) so I don’t think it would matter too much which way.
