Thanks for not forgetting this mod tutorial! Heres are more tips for steel age. 1. A single water pump could handle 20 bronze boilers, and 80 bronze (or 40 steel) machines. So please don't waste your steel upgrade to water pump. 2. If you don't have that many steels, just make another machines instead of steel upgrades, and save them for early steem quarry. 3. Multy block machines could accept 4 EU/t if they have at least 1 steel hatch. You don't need to make all 3~4 steel hatches, and can save more steels. + You can also use gunpowders to multy block machines to speed them up. Enjoy your twice faster steel production and mining! 4. Double ingots make process speed twice faster, of course. Not necessary, but higher tier ingots need very long process time, so doubling time efficiency might be useful. Unfortunately it doesn't improve energy efficiency :/ 5. Mixing synthetic oil with paper gives you 2 rubber sheets, but mixing synthetic oil with sulfur (by-product of macerating lignite coal ore) gives you synthetic rubber, which gives you 12 rubber sheets per process. It also used in assembler in future, so keep making it couple tanks. (You can't make synthetic rubber in bronze mixer, so you need to upgrade it to steel mixer)

Thank you for this, I was having trouble figuring out how exactly I needed to set up the quarry and the ingame guidebook doesn't have an image for some reason. Never would've known that the wrench also tells you where exactly to place the blocks either.

Does the steam quarry produces those ores from the void or does the quarry need blocks that it can mine like the old build craft quarry?

From the void, once you've automated drill production you're set

ok steel stuff I'm kinda ok did some stuff for 14 hours straight and I got myself a funcional system (which is the best I can do usually machines and me don't work at all bc of wires and conecting stuff into other stuff its a mess) but the eletric stuff........ I'm lost and I still didn't got there yet.

Have 1 machine for every thing you ever need. 1 Compressor makes only copper plates, another makes only bronze plates etc etc etc. Really long item pipes + whitelist filters on everything

that 4% (4% / 100% = 1 in 25) use chance on the drill head is quite bad as you need to take into account the ores are a chance really should have been a durability based or if no ore on run is produced no use chance. If you have a real bad rng run you will use more materials on the drills then you get back

The odds actually work out pretty well long term. You can get screwed if you only make one, but by the time you have a quarry you should be able to make a decent amount of them, and in my experience, around eight drills will get you enough materials for a full stack of drills if you're feeding them into a double macerator setup. I was drowning in the basic materials by the time I was processing aluminum, with my main bottleneck actually being lead, which you need for a couple very useful alloys.

Only couple months ago, drill use chance was 1% and you could get only 1 drill per crafting, not 4. I don't know why developer update like this, but the odd is same, and you can get way more ores from them.
