I was stationed in Sasebo , Japan once for my job and I could vividly remember a monk inviting me to become a monk as well after I tripped down the river close to the U.S Navy base there and when I emerged from the water , he gave me a cup of tea. One of the most profound moments in my life. Honestly , I should have taken his offer instead of continuing my job . I might have been a DJ monk haha. All jokes aside , I believe Buddhism has great principles that we should all follow
