Exactly and she said that that girl's body made her feel uncomfortable because her bottoms were moving(which is normal because bigger butts tend to move more)while she was on a treadmill??? Like duh it will move. She is literally objectifying her and saying that the girl should hide her body to accommodate her. And you can't even argue that the other girl is showing off or being inappropriate,she is wearing long pants,not filming herself and not shoving her butt in other people's faces. I swear people want women who are curvy(whether natural or with surgery) to keep their bodies so that others aren't bothered by the curves. Like that's not how it works. If someone's body just existing (without being nude of course)bothers you,then you are the problem.

right and the way she tried to spin it to make it sound like the woman she filmed was "showing off" and she felt uncomfortable when she was just existing is ridiculous. especially considering that's the excuse almost every s@er uses. "she was showing off her body anyway so she must have wanted it" like girl you can just not look its not that deep. ur at the gym, work out.

That insane shame of other is prolly why she felt she needed a bbl in the first place. 💀 Not saying that's the reason why she got a bbl(she could have just wanted one.) but a lot of plastic surgeries and body mods r built off of insecurities made by men and woman beating each other down along with that BBLS are incredibly life threatening. Risking ur life to mke your booty big is a lot of commitment.

also remember that sometimes this isn't only about beauty and you may find yourself comparing to a girl you deem unattractive simply because they receive more attention for having an interesting talent, or ability, or behavior. self esteem is about more than your appearance, and acknowledging that is important to grow and mature. keep informing yourself and you will find more peace in your life xD

with the first girl, why do women with large butts etc get demeaned and sexualized so much. She wasn't wearing a thong, she wasn't wearing booty shorts, it was opaque leggings. Like why the hell does it matter if someone did plastic surgery or just has a naturally big ass/chest? What was the point of getting the bbl? Wasnt it to show she has a big butt? It reflects poorly on her life choices. Also technically she is not shaming her body but her life choice and thinking. Why is a bigger butt something she strives toward? Its shallow and also doesnt look good, its a lose lose situation, so why do people get it done? Also the men who keep injecting to get muscles are just as dumb. It has nothing to do with being a pick me.

And rather recently Ive been looking at myself in the mirror like "sure Im fat and that needs to change bc its unhealthy as fuck, but like Im CUTE actually" And tbh the confidence that comes with that projects outward and I have noticed feeling way less judged, probably bc Im not projecting my own issues onto random people😂

the BFF and BF trend just reminds me of how people these days are too comfortable touching others in a fairly intimate way and then gaslight you as if that behavior hasn't (time and time again) led to affairs. In high school my bff's Bf at the time always tried hugging me (to a weird obsessive extent) I am not a touchy person and all I could think of was my dad telling me that teen boys "use hugging as a way to feel a girls bodies" and the BF had so many red flags to begin with, so wether my dad was correct he protected me then and my friendship.

YES OMFG!!! People forget so often that everybody likes something different in a partner both physically and personality wise. We're all different and that's the absolute beauty of humanity- we can all be different yet we can share the common joys of life like love, family, laughter, nature, etc in unique ways. And there is seriously somebody for everybody, so why do we all have to fit into the same cookie cutter standard of beauty propagated by the media???

And those men who strictly follow the conventionally attractive scale when choosing a partner tend to be flaky/unfaithful -- because there will always be a new 10 around the block. They don't have their own specific standard and tend to just follow the crowd, not gonna be a good partner anyway.

12:44 imagine how much she hates herself if she would hear someone say she's attractive and question their judgement... I was like this when I was a teen, being used to bullying and automatically thinking any compliment is sarcasm or some kind of joke. this girl probably was or is in a toxic environment where she's constantly reminded that she's "unattractive" because she doesn't meet the beauty standards. that's actually sad
@kaijuno

The “objectively attractive woman” segment gives away so much of how these men see the world. The implication is life is a zero sum game where other people’s success is your failure and girls have an “objective worth” ranked by how useful they are to men. Beauty is great, & it’s true some are girls are more conventionally beautiful than others! Or have amazing style, hair, creativity, etc. But life isn’t a magazine! Everyone has different values, strengths, ambitions, joys and skills. Love & happiness is about finding people who appreciate YOUR unique strengths & values. That may or may not be beauty. Hot people are common. It’s not that unique. They also live and work and age. They change their style, their weight, they have kids, they travel. The thing that actually makes anyone lovable is the person they are & the life they choose to lead. Anyone who sees you as a human being will respect your body because it’s a part of well.. you. They’re going to see and appreciate the whole human being, not just the meat suit???

5:40 I'm guessing that women who pursue the boyfriends/husbands of other women do it to get the thrill of "I'm better than you and that's why your boyfriend chose me over you". Other times it's the thrill of the chase, and they love the chase more than the person. But then after they get their man, they'll either 1) grow bored of him and ditch him for another taken man 2) be totally bewildered when he (inevitably) cheats on her with someone else Either way, they'll one day go online posting stuff around "Where did all the good guys go?"

In my opinion that whole Pick me and NLog seems to stem that that late 90's and 2000's when this Message of "Just be yourself, don't try to fit in when it means you lose yourself and everything you like and everone you love who love for who you rly are" swirling around in the medias- which in itself is a really important and valuable message. But like always they overdid it, and for some reason most of the time they played that out as a catfight like girl against girl (down to earth sympathetic Tomboy vs. popular, evil Barbie). No wonder people internalized misogynie went through the roof with Gen X and Millenials, and that included myself (even though try my best to be a girls girl now).

this reminds me sm of my ex best friend who tried to steal my husband. it’s such a long story but she was forever posting about how she just wanted to be the perfect little housewife for her deadbeat bf (she’s a chronic cheater and was in a relationship while trying to swoop in on mine), constantly talked about how pissed she got seeing other people that were happy in their relationships, and fished for compliments on her appearance from anyone who listen, despite fitting into society’s beauty standards perfectly. she also invited my husband to a 🌽 server without telling him what was on it and when i confronted her on it, she said “oh but i thought he would’ve told you.” HE DID. he had the receipts for what she told him and nowhere did she say it was a 🌽 server. we both stopped talking to her after that lmao sorry for trauma dumping in yt comments 🤩

As someone who’s queer (lesbian and enby) I’ve hated having my curves be seen as objectified. Like, natural body whether naked or in clothes, loose fitting or not is just a body. It isn’t inherently sexual, and I hate how misogyny ends up making women bully other women for “being to curvy” and should “cover up,” but if you are less curvy then you ‘need’ to “get some jobs done.” Ppl really suck. Like, women are beautiful in their differences, so I really don’t get the point in fucking body shaming a stranger other than her wanting to feed her own ego.

A lot of the pick me girl culture, I’ve noticed, is opposite reactions to what has been regular sexist culture. I find most of them are reactions to stereotypes women have had to live with for years, and the women those stereotypes oppressed now feel like by showing off themselves as desirable, they’re finally getting back at all the people who say that being a tomboy makes you ugly to men, or taking care of your man makes you pathetic.
