Holly shit this is so good. I like new novelist fr but Can’t be better than Matteo...

Thank you so much Woojoon 🙏🏻 Your Novelists covers are so legit, so it means a lot man! Tobias sounded great on Lost Cause but I'll miss Matteo as well. Thankfully Sal3m is incredible. Getting great music from both bands is a win-win for everyone. Cheers man!

@@SeanTenney777 i really appreciate it man 🙏🙏 Yeah thankfully he’s in other band sal3m as you said! I was pretty shocked when i found out their guitarist is pierre daniel from kadinja tho. what a incredible guitar player.

My pleasure dude. I've watched that Heal the Wound cover a ton for inspiration! Too good. Plus that strandy is sick! Incredible is an understatement. Pierre Danel and Quentin Godet are so underrated. Can't wait to hear what Sal3m and Kadinja have in store for 2021.

Nice playing dude! One of my favorite songs on Novelists! and I love how you always cover the bass as well as the guitar

Thank you Suneo! I never thought I'd enjoy laying down the bass tracks as much as I do. It really gives a mix some muscle. Can't wait to see your next project! Your videos are too good. Cheers!

Damn, why did I skip over this track so often? Goddamn, its good, and that solo hits just the right spot. Good job sean

Modern Slave should’ve been the lead single! Cest La Vie is criminally underrated as an album. Thanks man! 🙏🙏🙏

@@SeanTenney777 Yeah I agree, C'est la vie is soo good. I'd love to see you do Lily at some point, that solo is so good, I think it was the first one that I've (tried to) learn from them.

Possibly my favorite track off the album. It has all the right elements packed into one song. An that solo is just sooo dreamy. I would give an arm n a leg to be able to play this. You crushed it mate. Flawless

C'est La Vie is so underrated, I'm not sure why it didn't get as much love as Souvenirs and Noir. Modern Slave is one of my favorites too, the other being Rain. I agree that it has all the right elements and I thought it should've been the lead single. The solo is one of Flo's best! I've seen you play, you've got the chops. It just takes a metronome, a millions reps, and a lot of patience! Thanks as always man.

@@SeanTenney777 Souvenirs has all the classics, all the released KZbin videos before there was even an album, but C'est La Vie is my favorite album. Yes yes I know, as soon as I watched you play this I thought of getting the metronome out, I remember what you said to me a long time ago, and how to go about completing a Novelists song up to speed. I've set some guitar goals for this year so I'll have to put a Novelists song on the list ( actually on the list is # learn a new song # play songs that put me out of my comfort zone.)
@SeanTenney7773 жыл бұрын
Oh I remember the KZbin days. I had Immedicable on repeat! Souvenirs is packed full of classics, Gravity is the first Novelists track I took a shot at covering. Noir would have to be my favorite of the three albums though, so good from top to bottom. However, all three albums are amazing. You've got the right idea! Bust out that metronome and take a shot at songs outside of your comfort zone. Incorporating a metronome while practicing is the single best piece of guitar advice I've ever gotten. Can't wait to see your NFR covers! BTW your Lose Our Light video was great.

Novelist's have such killer music man - you really do it justice!! Love the solo in this one too, monster licks!! How did you get the rhythm tone for this? It sounds PERFECT! :)

Thank you Jack, it means a lot! You've got some real chops and a badass channel too. Couldn't agree more! Novelists are definitely my favorite band. I used a custom Mesa Dual Rectifier patch running through my Axe-Fx 2! I also spent way too long tweaking it, so I'm very happy you like it. Cheers man!

Tuning? Drop D? Drop C?
@SeanTenney7773 жыл бұрын
Neither! Tuning is ADADGAD. Pretty sure Flo used a 7 string for this song but the low string is used very little outside of the chorus riff so its easy to learn using a 6 in the DADGAD tuning. DADGAD is also known as the Celtic tuning. Cheers!
