Are there no homeless people and drug addicts there? And migrants who walk around in droves and rape women? Is London better than Paris? Doesn't it have these problems? If you can't even keep your capital cities in order in the EU, what's going on in less developed cities? I think it's about the same there as in Philadelphia.)

You have just a very high over estimation, based on your fanatical and sick patriotism! My russian girlfriend for example doesn’t like Russian chocolate. Btw. did you know, that Putin sanctioned Roshen products in 2013, because of Poroshenko and because Yanukovich firstly wanted to sign the association contract with EU. So, Putin simply threatened him, to sanction all products coming from Ukraine when he goes with EU, promised 15,- billion $ and cheapest gas, later telling, that US and EU manipulated 😂🤦🏼‍♂️…and now, you are crying about other sanctions…quite hypocritical, not? Anyways… In my city there is living the manager of a very important milk products producing factory in Russia. Established by Germans in Russia and without this development, Russia would probably still stick in the 50th… I mean, i don’t care…but it seems, like Russia was growing with the needed help and knowledge from abroad…WHY NOT…there is nothing to be proud of…it’s just how it happened. But now actually, you Russians have forgotten all this and you behave, like little childs, brainwashed, and like everything would have been invented and established there, everything was Made in Russia. You either care about stealing patents, importing products from 3rd countries and at the same time, still using american YT, to spread your poor propaganda 😂… You really think, anybody, exceptly friendly countries, could take YOU serious? And please, China or India aren’t friendly countries, either Brasil. If this happens, it is not for the people, it’s for their dictatorial system… So, i think, that the west was trying to be good and friendly with Russia, always. Russia has always had everything of its own and lived only on its own money. Unlike the West, Europe. Which robbed other countries for several centuries. In the USSR, people lived well, when it was destroyed, then people became poor, yes. This continued into the 90s because the entire collective West was plundering the entire eastern bloc. So don't talk about things you have no idea about. Oh, this is an Anglo-Saxon, he knows better how it was than the people who lived at that time. Sure, there was plenty good about The USSR and if you watch my other videos you will see that I'm often referring to many of the positive aspects of The USSR. But on the other hand, Soviet citizens had to deal with incessant and excessive bureaucracy, No choice of products in shops and constant deficits, no opportunity for international travel, no right to move to their capital city (without a special pass) no effort to stamp out corruption and no good customer service anywhere as well as no career prospects for most people. So, as with everything there are positives and negatives. I think Russians in very many ways have never had it so good, and you will be unlikely to find too many younger Russians who would like to go back to the USSR!

@@PaulintheUSSR your videos are decent - I’ve watched a few and enjoyed them! There is however a lot of talking points that can be made with your reply - how many people from the provinces have the ability to live in Moscow for example? Same as uk right - London is so over priced! Capitalism forces people out of thier birthplace with privatisation and profits before social well being. The choice in products I mean your falling into the trap of thinking more choice is always a good thing? Why do you need 40 different types of TV? International travel is again a pro ledge for those who can afford it under capitalism (which is now being restricted because of an ongoing hideous sanctions campaign). There is also the point of relativity - like you cannot say the Soviets didn’t produce better conditions for the people when compared to what proceeded them. The world is on a massive zig zag to socialism and the Soviets were the world’s first. Obviously they got things wrong. Listen I get it. Your videos are great, but also it’s not a case of black and white on which is better! Capitalism destroys communities which you are seeing with some of the tours you show on border towns. Why is this better etc! Anyway, keep up the good videos!

I don't think he is any worse than any other politician in Russia (or the world). If it wasn't him, it would just be someone else and that person could be far more extreme. Putin is actually very moderate compared to many others. He is measured and experienced. A more volatile president may have reacted worse to the West's provocations and pressed a button by now. For many it's a case of "better the devil you know". I know a lot of Russians are fully behind their president. To be honest with you, I don't support or oppose any politician in the world personally, as each does what he or she thinks best and of course that is so subjective. What you think is a good decision, others might consider a bad decision and visa-versa. Again, personally, I don't follow politics closely, so don't know the in's and out's of every decision. I don't doubt that often there is more to things than meets the eye. Also, I'm not a Russian voter so it doesn't matter at all what i think. I'm a British voter so only have the legal right to make my voice/vote count towards elections in The UK (if I so wished and if they had them!) President Putin is answerable only to Russia and Russians and nobody else. If Russians are satisfied with their president than that's all what matters I guess, as a politician is supposed to please their electorate. No politician could ever please 100% of the population, it's impossible.

Hi Paul, Couldn't help but notice there are no memorials or statues next to the up market Russian coffee shops commemorating the 5-8 million Ukrainians starved to death in the Holodomor, the great famine created by the Russians 1932-1933.

@yomofoindahouse

Unfortunately, it was the whole USSR that starved. Not just fucking Ukraine. You've been brainwashed and lied to, that it was a specific Ukrainian disaster. The famine happened because the Bolsheviks just came to power and literally didn't know how to manage a country.
@Siberian_Bear72

You are extremely ignorant. Famine in the 30s of the last century was all over the USSR. And there were many Ukrainians among the Bolsheviks. Moreover, the Russians were in the minority there. The main leaders were Jews, Ukrainians and Georgians. Russians and other nations have suffered from this no less than Ukrainians. Half of the Soviet leadership came from Ukraine, including General Secretary Leonid Brezhnev. By the way, at the same time in the United States, people were dying of hunger. I just read John Steinbeck. Did the Russians arrange the Holodomor in the USA too?

Are you a fool? During the Soviet era, the population of Ukraine grew to 52 million, when Ukraine became independent, they lost 15 million. By the way, the Holodomor was staged by the same Ukrainians who today grab Ukrainian men on the street and take them to war.

Hi Richard, Russia is full of contrasts! They actually rejected your email? Or just directed it into my spam box? (Did it include attachments? Write a new comment on any video to explain, as I only recieve notifications about new comments, not ones i've already replied to) I'll check to see if it's there. I guess the problem is emailing from outside of Russia, but I wasn't aware that they were not accepting them. Maybe I can try to create a google email account for the channel too. Look out for that then try again soon. I don't use VK/Telegram, I'm such a dinosaur it's a miracle I only use KZbin!

What greater Russia? When you show me proof of what your saying then maybe someone will believe you, otherwise your just sounding like a another Russophobe sheep that follows and swallows up everything the west says. Easiest way to debunk your "Greater Russia or Russia wants to take over Europe" why has NATO surrounded Russia when it promised not to move one inch closer? Why the coup in 2014 that the US bragged about "we achieved our goal and it only cost 4 billion dollars" who is putting weapons and missiles in which country? Anyone with a brain can see someone with a good argument or someone like you that only repeats the same things "Russia wants to take over Europe" and "Your a Russian paid bot" wow smart argument..
