Love the sincere disbelief and intrigue of the teammates at the end. "the heck was that??" "maaan that was a nuke". No slurs, no shit talking, no one getting mad that the game ended prematurely with a nuke. Just genuine amazement of discovering that this is an actual feature of the game. I miss those days.

Multiplayer games nowadays are mostly quiet because everyone's in Discord or party chat. Getting a nuke back then was so easy but still it rarely ever happened. People just didn't know about the harrier>gunner>nuke strat and how you essentially only needed 7 kills (6 with hardline) to get a nuke. Back then people played with completely random perks and streaks and with bizarre weapon setups. Nobody knew what they were doing but everyone was having fun. Later on as people started figuring the game out we saw more and more nukes, so they had to nerf it in later cod games.

I like to come back to this Video every once in awhile. And pretend it's 2009 again, while I was in middle school which wasn't fun. This game helped me get away from how bad school was. Playing With friends on the weekends, or making new friends online that I would play with for years, across other cods. Me and my friends would play this into our high school years. friends would come go and go girlfriends would come and go. And as we Graduated high school and went our separate ways those nights of meeting up to play this would drift away. Soon my old online friends would say last online 2 years ago then 4, now upwards of 10. I met a girl fell in love, we played this together a lot i Introduced her to it. She's broke my heart. Now in 2024, it's just me I still jump on from time to Time, and play a match or two. But this video is echoes from the past. Reminding me of all the great memories I had on this game. Nothing ever respondes, but the familiar sounds of MW2.

I'm still playing the original seems fine. Hasn't been anything from COD like it since, COD4 isn't stand alone and MW2's formula feels significant enough to be separately playable. The original has a lot of non dlc players and I bought the DLC still get games but you have to buy both not just one of the DLCs to find games each version has a separate match making pool on PC.

I’ve just come across this in 2022 and my god does this take me back! You can tell by how people are playing the game it was newish out and the guys at the end of the match explaining what happened proved it. This game was like a culture back in the day! I didn’t wanna play anything else! I was a very very social person, but if I saw someone had an Xbox 360 OR PS3 and this game, I’d have to have a few games even if there was a party going on 😂 this is the game that got me into gaming again, FPS, Multiplayer/Online the lot! Then followed by OG Black Ops, amazing times with the pair of those games! Hours and hours. And that challenge complete sound, just the sound affects and everything.. many fond memories
