I think COD4 beats it. Way tighter, more grounded, more moody. Less of a cartoony action movie. Love MW2 but it's definitely a lot dumber story-wise than the first one. Even has a bit of a dangling plot thread half-way through, some setups without payoff etc. which you can tell were changed at some point during production. Then there's BLOPs which is like a perfect Cold War schlocky action movie.

Same. To be honest I actually like the choreography of the original fight scene better. I know it’s meant to be more realistic but the epic style of the original was just awesome enough and not too over-the-top. like the part at 6:15 where originally Shepherd pulls Price up by the arm with one hand and decks him in the face with that same hand before he hits the ground. It showed how skilled Shepherd was at hand to hand combat and that he was just playing with Price at that point. He never stood a chance.

Yes it looks good and the animations are nice but a lot of the original charm of the game seems to have been lost in a lot of these scenes On top of that a lot of the weapon sounds just sound terrible the intervention sounds like a child’s cap Gun For 20 to 30 bucks though hell of a job

I remember when the assault began, we were 127 strong and ready. Then the athletic ones defected reducing our numbers to a phalanx We were confident still, we had a 2-1 ratio in our favor. Our attack was strong, a leader was beaten back with zero casualties. But as it continued, our stamina dropped resulting in us downing 3 at the cost of 7. We made a desperate attempt to mass fire them and it worked downing 11. But as soon as the barrage ended we realized too late that we had no shells left. As word spread in our ranks, they burst out of their defenses and mass fired us to hell. Only 19 made it, out of the 67. Luckily we successfully counter attacked, but it was a phyric victory. Then, they pulled out the t-shirt canon. Stuffing it with multiple pellet rounds. It was a slaughter. Only 8 made it out. They finished us off with heavy artillery and pellet rounds from above. And concentrated fire from the front and flanks.

I like how they actually removed the mistake with the revolver that the original made. In the original, Shepherd cocks the hammer to make the cylinder rotate onto a loaded chamber. When he pulls the trigger, we can see the cylinder rotate again (incorrectly rotating clockwise this time,) as if he didn't just cock the hammer. Here, I can see no such mistake.
