when they were all passing around the image of makarov around, I just kept repeating "it's gotta be makarov" over and over, I hope the campaign expansion they do helps flesh it out more, as this did feel a little contained for a modern warfare story, but as it was I LOVED the campaign. I'm excited for what they'll end up doing if we get a MWIII, as the original MW3 still has one of my most favorite campaigns and I'm excited for what they do with this timeline. I do wish there was more Farah tho, she was my favorite character of MW2019, sucks that she was shoved over as a cameo in one mission kind of.

Well they can't really put Farah nor Alex into the campaign cuz it doesn't fit the locations of this game. Farah is still trying to protect urzikstan with his fighters and Alex is 'undercover' atm . But I was also sort of let down by the clear disconnect between mw2019 and this. They were talking about al asad zakhev and hadir but this game didn't even mention them.

I believe I remember hearing that in CoD 4 modern warfare, the mile high club mission at the very end was supposed to be a full fledged mission in the campaign but they ran out of time to make it. So I think with “no Russian” happening on an airplane in this ending is kind of a reference to both missions.

I was surprised to find out that on the PS4 version of the game there's a trophy to be earned during the mission to capture El Sin Nombre. I got lucky enough to get onto the roof and past the guards (by distracting them with the bottles in the tables) without killing any enemies or triggering the alarm (both factors are a requirement for the achievement). I wasn't even TRYING to get that trophy, it just happened by pure luck. I will absolutely not say it was skill, because I'm not that full of myself lol. I simply got INSANELY lucky. Apparently the trophy in question is a gold one with only 0.9% of all PS players having obtained it

Much as I like Modern Warfare's story taking a more realistic and dark approach, I do prefer the old trilogy. I miss the old feeling pf just bombastic mission with an actual war that happened instead of just prowling through the night on NVG and shooting people quietly. Also Makarov was more terrifying there too.

The campaign was pretty damn good. UNTIL you got to the Tank boss and the final stealth part were you had to disarm the missile.. Those parts almost ruined the campaign for me. Absolutely horrible with incredibly bad autosaving (right in FRONT of the tank for one and another in the middle of the soldiers looking for you while you had no weapon or item to get away) causing many MANY insta deaths after reloading the checkpoint.. Seriously?? Did nobody playtest those parts??

Honestly, I didn’t play the campaign, just watched a playthrough on KZbin. But I’m confused by this game’s campaign. Zakhaev was set up at the end of MW2019, and it seemed like Hadir would make a comeback in this game as the bad guy alongside Zakhaev. But neither were mentioned at all in this game (from what I saw in the playthrough). So was that whole story just scrapped? They even went straight to Makarov without mentioning Zakhaev or Hadir. It seemed like there was no continuity between the games, other than the other TF141 characters appearing. Also didn’t like that they made Shepherd betray them like in the OG MW2, like that just seemed lazy and unnecessary

I don’t know if you guys are kids or joking but y’all this is a alternate universe timeline campaign. I don’t get how that’s not obvious. Half the people in this one would be dead in mw2. And yes it’s connected to mw1 but apparently mw1 campaign story didn’t end with the campaign it continued to spec ops and warzone. That part I didn’t know but tbh I lowkey forget what happens in mw2019 anyways lol.
