Looking back at MW2019 puts into perspective how washed out MWIII can be. Yes, having the really dark/bright scenes can impact visibility, so there's no single perfect choice... But I'll gladly look at MW19 as an observer any day over MWIII.

Another thing to consider is that they forced antialiasing to be on in MWIII and it makes the game blurry as hell. MW19 continues to be the best looking game since its release.

iirc BF4 and BFV had character rim lighting where it looked like the character models had a light shining on them from above and behind, so they were well-illuminated even in the darkest of corners. Obviously not realistic but it did wonders for playability, and allowed all other aspects of the lighting to look good, it'd be nice if CoD would just copy that one thing

Mw2019 is not a perfect game by no means, but compared to the actual call of duty titles is actually brilliant, and the evolution that the franchise really needed. (Except for the SBMM, the maps and probably the cheaters) The graphics and gun fight of mw2019 feels like a title that came out in 2025, meanwhile Mw3 is like a 2017 game.

I've always said MW2019 was one of the best. As a CoD veteran from CoD4, I really really enjoyed the game during it's time. CW was not it. I didn't enjoy it at all. The movement felt so janky compared to the smoooooooooth mechanics of MW2019. Id consider it top 5 CoD multiplayers

Because tons of players complained about the crackhead movement that sweats were doing so they destroyed movement in MW2 and only kept the bad stuff of 2019 like no map voting, disbanding lobbies, SBMM, they added charging perks 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️, trash third game mode, and they completely redid warzone all to sell some of the same skins that people owned in 2019

This game was actually nasty. If not for the sbmm, it’s top 3 lowkey. Gameplay, graphics and animations were smooth as butter. Even with the lackluster maps, the game was super addictive. OG Warzone was fun as hell and the campaign was good too. Spec ops was clearly filler tho haha

this game innovated a lot for a CoD title. the graphics are a huge step up from other titles, even compared to the games that came after it. we got an expanded gunsmith, and all new standard for reload animations. along with a much slower campaign with actually fun stealth levels. what brings it down though is the fact that it's a Call of Duty title. if it wasn't shackled to Activision's benign standards for the series, we would've gotten a game that would have escaped the usual stigmas of Call of Duty as a whole.

Watching this reminded me why I loved this game so much, and kept playing it for almost 3 years straight. The graphical fidelity is amazing, the sound design superb, gunplay responsive, and not to mention the sheer volume of unlocks to keep you busy and engaged. I tried BO:CW, didn't like that it felt like a downgrade, so I went back to MW. I tried Vanguard, it was a broken buggy mess, went back to MW. I played through MWII, it felt so empty contentwise, so I went back to play MW a couple of times for a reminder of a better game. I'm still playing MWIII since at least SHG is trying to keep people engaged with weekly content, but it still is not as good as MW. MW, while it has some flaws, felt like it was made with passion, with a team that knew what game they wanted to make, and to create something truly revolutionary with Call of Duty. Since then, it has been regression. BO 6 has a lot riding on it, and while Treyarch has been good in the past, I don't think they will be able to match, let alone surpass, this game. It currently is #3 in my favorite CoDs list, right behind MW2 and BO2 for #2 and #1 respectfully. A thing of beauty.
