Agree with most, but I don’t think you HAD to use the ACR or MP7. Some maps you would benefit a lot for using them, but I have had great matches against people using those weapons whilst only using weapons like the MSR, L118A, M4A1, Scar-L and MP5. I got golf camo for a lot a weapons other than the mp7 and acr, but those were obviously among my most used weapons in multiplayer. I really liked the support and specialist killstreaks because I was never really good at staying alive for more than a couple of kills at a time but frequently got 25+ kills per match. I also feel like MW3 deserves praise for it’s diverse map design, amount of maps available at launch, weapon variety and Spec Ops as a whole, mainly thinking about Survival but also the single player missions and COOP missions, giving the player(s) a different perspective to some of the campaign missions. We don’t get stuff like this nowadays, back then developers actually cared for their game, now they probably care but they got Activision execs all up in their asses, rushing them.

MW3 had a rocky start, connection problems and a couple of very OP guns. After 6 months or so the developers actually started listening and patched the game. By the end of the year all the guns were really balanced. Problem is not many people remember that because you only get one chance to make a good impression.

Honestly great point at the end, scrap zombies for like 2 years, let it fester and stew in it's own juices and please give me a more fleshed out survival mode ! You reminded me why I loved mw3, shit internet means survival was my time dump until I upgraded.

@@Sean_Connery The multiplayer was good but not my favorite. Infected and the 1v1/2v2/3v3 modes made it really fun imo. What made it great was Survival mode. I still play that sometimes. Overall though, the best multiplayer was Cod 4 imo.

Bro I will never forget my first MOAB. Me and the boys, playing infected on the construction map at his house. Fucking 5 guys on two Xboxes in one house, playing Xbox live split screen infected. I manage to get it and call it in, right as I die. The timer counts down and i haul ass to where the other guys were and as it gets slowmo I jumped and threw my knife and managed to kill my friend proning right before then nuke went off. I miss those days

I had an appendectomy when MW3 was popular. I stayed home for like 2 weeks playing online with Akimbo P90’s with the rapid fire/FMJ attachment. I would run straight up to other player and mag dump right into their chests lol.

Funny how this dev talks about :"the most balanced multiplayer"💀💀💀 I still claim to this day that the MW3 MP7 + silencer and ACR + silencer where the most broken guns im CoD history because they remained on top of the usage % from day-one until now and EVERYONE and i mean EVERYONE played them! Both had zero recoil with ridiculous range and NO downsides. I remember playing Bakaara the one day and mapping sniper campers from across the map with the MP7 with 4-5 bodyshots.

Alright, I'm gonna be the mega nerd who defends MW3's weapons. All of MW3's weapons are good. The only reason the ACR and MP7 were infamous is because they were easy. Every other weapon (except the AA12 and PM3) were just as viable as any other. The shotguns were ridiculous once you put Damage or Range on them, all the assault rifles (even the FAD) were competitive, and the LMGs were brainless to get streaks with. The fast time to kill meant most weapons killed nearly instantly, and it always felt like you were dying instantly. You definitely had a choice.

i miss making the garbage weapons from that game work man pm9 rapid fire trying to outmaneuver mp7 players so you could unload 32 bullets i a second close range was so fun or making domination on mission hell for the enemy team because aa12 with tac insert is just so hard to deal with around certain corners hell even putting tempo perk on a mg36 and treating it as if it was a smg flying around corners had me cracked out never has a shooter made feel as accelerated as mw3 did i miss those sweaty summer nights when i came home drunk as hell sobering up while running around like a crackhead with a golden ksg in domination until the sun came up again

One thing that I absolutely despised about Modern Warfare 3 multiplayer is that the maps were extremely claustrophobic. No Open Fields like in Modern Warfare 2. No room to breathe and almost no room for the aircraft kill streaks and especially no room to shoot them down. I love shooting down aircraft and I love also how shooting down aircraft now counts as a kill for my support kill streak.

Dead Man's Hand killed me so many times it may singlehandedly be the reason I hated the game so much. I said MW3 was the worst CoD of all time without a doubt, it's been awhile since I've made that claim and I haven't played CoD since MW2019 but I have to stick with it.
