I bought mw3 and tried to play a normal quick Playlist, and it was so boring I went back to rustemnt 24/7. I can't even get kills in normal maps cause I rush in just to die. The brain rot is crazy.

After the full year of MW23 I actually really loved the multiplayer aspect of the game. It was loaded with content. Everything else was subpar-underwhelming

Hot take: I never had problems with MWII itself. Aside from some nitpicking, I thought it was a solid game. Then I play MWIII, I genuinely felt like SHG screwed up a lot of things, both in MP and Warzone. IMO, I trust IW and 3arc more than I trust SHG when it comes to good CoD games, but people obviously hate this point.

I enjoyed it more than MW3. I thing but issues there. My biggest issue with MW2 was the fact they’d give Warzone all the support. Hyped up DMZ and ignored it like Battlefield 2042 did with Hardpoint (ooopppsss: “Hazardzone”)…(or BFV with Firestorm). And how it’d periodically delete my files (Campaign, Multiplayer, etc). I loved Ground War. That similar mode was one of my favorites in Vanguard (where you drop in) aside from Zombies. Oh and events. All the events forced you to play Warzone. MW3 tho… Well Zombies, aka “MWZ” is just DMZ Reskinned. I’m a single player kinda guy. Whenever I do play online I have mics muted. It’ll never be like my days with my friends playing Battlefield V, or even Metal Gear Survive. So I hate it when they force ya to do that. Again events were bad. And kinda ridiculous. Forcing ya to play Warzone. Least with scold War and Vanguard you cud play either or and earn them. Sad they didn’t make it so you could play both and were cross-mode. The issue with Deleting Data was worse too. It doesn’t just do it periodically anymore … no no no. It deletes it every update. And oddly there’s a bunch of updates (firmware). Tho I noticed it would delete them for ANY kind of update. (IE: whenever you click on”X” to load into the game, it’ll say at the bottom: “Updating”. “Game Requires Refresh After Update” Wpn and Attchmnts are worse. Ppl complained about having to use different guns in MW2 to unlock guns and attachments and they threw that out and made ya do lame Challenges. In MW2 they did it to make ya go through each gun and not stick with just one or two like Meta Weapons. And to Pad it out. Ricochet Anti Cheat is laughable. The Campaign is a joke. Least with MW2 I loved the first mission with that Tomahawk. Using glass and Box Cutters as Melee was cool. Wish they even let ya use those Fanblade pry tools as Melee Wpns. And it did a decent job in MW2 to set up DMZ for that one mission. As for MW3 the campaign is a joke. Almost fully Open World. No real replay value or anything and most maps are just copies of MP ones. Almost impossible to do missions stealthily. Hitman on PS2/Gamecube perfected that concept ages ago. Speaking of which, games with linear missions back then had more enjoyment, better writing and mechanics and whatnot and more replay value than MW3. But that’s an issue for most modern games today/nowadays. The reason why they aren’t good is bc one was meant to be a dlc or whatever for the other (Similar to how Vanguard was a prototype of one of the newer games but was scrapped… or was it a DLC too? Kinda like how 2042 was a failed prototype for Bad Company 3 or whatever even tho it looks and feels more like BF4. There’s so much stuff nowadays that came out from scrapped projects or whatever. Canceled games becoming full fledged games or dlc. Scalped content and dlc becoming games. lol even Jurassic World! That incorporated 2/3 scrapped ideas for Jurassic Park 3. SEE JP3 was gonna be about: 1). A boy trapped on the island 2). A boy trapped on the island and/or can Dr. Doolittle with the Dinos, 3). Human-Dino super soldiers).

Mw2 had a bad campaign, the rest was solid, the mp wasn't amazing but it was a good experience I liked mw3's mp more tho

I remember how happy I was with a new MW coming in 2022 and before that how much I loved MW2019 after years of general FPS drought. I completely agree with your conclusions. As for me, all the trust I built towards IW (and only them as Treyarch and SH cheated me already) was destroyed with MW2

I comment this on any MWII longform video I watch, but MWII's campaign was such a letdown for me after MW 2019. No cohesion, no follow up on the storylines from MW 2019, random cameos from characters (Farah) for one mission, missions that didn't further the plot or make sense. The list goes on. I loved MW 2019's campaign (and am actually replaying it right now) but MWII's was one-and-done for me. MWII's was so lame in comparison. What makes it even worse is that MWIII doesn't even follow up the story from MW 2019 or MWII and now Graves and 141 are back on good terms, despite the betrayal. As for MP, everything you mentioned was spot on. Nothing killed the fun more than the sluggish movement and removal of any mechanic that created a skill gap. I'm not a pro player by any means, (1.2 KD), but I felt so limited by the movement and lack of mechanics that I didn't play a ton of the game. Even BF 2042 has more of a skill gap than MWII, and I was a much better player in that game than I was in MWII, simply due to the fact that Dice left a skill gap in the game. I only played MWIII in the beta, so I can't comment on how that game is, but I hope Treyarch can deliver on Gulf War this year and bring back the classic arcade COD feel that has a skill gap for better players to take advantage of. I was looking forward to this game so much and the disappointment after playing for a week was immense lol. I don't think I've been as let down by a game (COD or otherwise) as much as this one.

Lowkey MW22 made me felt like I bought into a scam. For starters, this game doesn't play anywhere near like the og mw2, and not a single map from mw2 was remake in this game. Also like you said the game was just too ambitious for its own good. I think part of that was in mw19. we had gunsmiths, which was revolutionary, and they thought they could do that with the perks system. Oh yeah, did I not memtion that the UI is ass it might be worse than Bo4, honestly

@@TCG9777MW2 was an insult to players bc IW disregarded the fan bases wishes, it is described as an "Anti-Cod" (like Ghosts). MWIII an insult to the devs bc SH had to take IW's shit MWII MP and polish it to a more enjoyable piece of trash. This is my interpretation of OP.

Hot take: BO3 was peak cod. The movement was cool,fun, and overhated. Guns were sick and new. Operators actually did something and were cool. I even liked the maps. Im just sick of the modern warfare series and want something more fun again.
