Gun gesus found the mp7a1 to be more recoiling than he expected as well. Must be that miniaturized short stroke gas piston..4,6x30 should be 40% less recoil compared to 9mm

BeefKid Gaming Because it has pretty much the same kinetic energy of a 9mm. It’s twice as fast as a 9mm but 4 times lighter bullet. In recoil equations what counts is momentum (mass•velocity) so between two bullets with same KE the lighter bullet will be less recoiling (because velocity is squared in KE and not in momentum). Lighter faster bullets tend to deliver the recoil pulse in a shorter time though, so the recoil feels “snappier” compared to a stronger but “slower” push of a .45acp for example. I was talking about the free recoil of the round itself, the operating mechanism, weight, rof, handling of the gun matter a great deal to determine recoil control

@@johnaranjo2059 I miss a lot 😂 the MP7 doesn't hit hard enough to waste shots and I miss a lot. The Aug excels when you do the 5.56 conversion with a long barrel. It was designed IRL as a 5.56 AR, the SMG is the RL conversion and is frowned upon by gun enthusiasts. The SA87 is the same, it was designed to be and AR, the LMG is a conversion, it's a much better weapon when you give it a shorter barrel and lighter stock for mobility. 👍

Thank you for using actual numbers! Exclusive Ace only tells is "frames" when talking about ADS speed and just honestly doesnt mean a whole not . Like how you said the strike and recon barrel both reduce ADS speed by "2 frames" however still perform differently enough to knowing the exact ms is valuable info . Still on top driftor. If you’re planning on it already, is there any chance the Oden episode can come up sometime soon? It’s kind of interesting being the only 12.7mm assault rifle, the recoil is sharp but very predictable and imho has the best iron sights. I’d love to see what the various attachments do to it, specifically the barrels and muzzles!

The MP5 is much better imo. I can melt people and get melted by it much faster than the MP7. But I've loved the look of the MP7 since half life 2.

The MP7 is more forgiving though, the faster ROF means missing a bullet with an MP7 matters less than with the other SMGs. IMO, MP7 looks cooler than MP5 too

IRL this SMG is a nasty little beast of a PDW. The entire platform was built with the idea of being extremely portable while still being able to defeat body armor out to 250 meters with it's 4.8x32 cartridge. Other considerations were recoil control, exceptional reliability, and ambidextrous/fine-tuned ergonomics. The MP7 is at the bleeding edge of PDW technology with few rivals, considering it's sheer efficacy!

My favourite run and gun loadout for the mp7 is smallest barrel, no stock, largest ammo cap, 5mw laser (or the tac... whichever is the one that only shows when aiming) and a scope. you are speed

It’s funny how the evaluation of guns changes as war zone comes along. Before watching I knew the thing I liked most about the mp7 is it’s accuracy at close to mid and even long range for an smg. Yet drifter describes it as a fast bullet hose that is great at cqc.

I like the MP5 for the two +Movement speed attachments that make it great for rushing (at least as great as rushing can get in this game's current state). It's feels like running lightweight, get to push hard from the spawn in S&D. Good for flanking enemies in ground war too

Um, the MP7 is picked fairly often. It is by no means an overlooked gun. People will often say the MP7 and MP5 are the best SMGs. Sometimes the MP7 hits hard, other times it's a hitmarker machine. It's inconsistent af at times but still meta.

Fun Fact: In real life MP7 has more "damage" than the MP5. The MP7 fires 4.6x30mm rounds designed to pierce kevlar, while the MP5 fires 9mm pistol rounds that don't.

You're not the first to say it's weight surprised them or said the recoil was more than expected. Thinking about it, and it's intended purpose as a secondary that could pierce body armor, it's about right though. Such a small package and it's shooting what is basically a rifle round, ya it's gonna buck a little more and it's gotta have a bit more mass to be able to handle the increased pressures. It all makes sense. Gotta love Video games though, they give everyone the way wrong impression.

Maybe it's due to netcode batching shots or something else but it feels like the application of the gun is worse than it shows on paper. I constantly feel like I lose fights that I start against people with the MP5 or even the M4 at close range. At other times I feel like I melt people with this - so I dunno.
