I still think red dead 3 should be about Jack in one of the world wars, rockstar could turn Europe into the wacky alternate geography versions of the world they normally do. WW1 was during read dead 1 anyhow. But say they do the late 40s jack could be a grizzled mafia enforcer, getting captured and used to fight in the war, which happened in real life WW2 and is just like what happened to John in rdr1

If you want to understand why WW1 was so horrific, the first 20 seconds is a good simulation as to how the war started out between those who still had old bolt action rifles (even muskets) and countries who had developed machine guns. The opening of the war saw companies of men mowed down by Machine Guns. It's why trenches were used so religiously, there was no chance of making it across the fields until the tank arrived. Anyways, cool video.

@@Jeremiah-h4u Yup, the actual reason WW1 was so brutal was because it was the transitory phase between manuver warfare and trench warfare, Germans weren't expecting they were going to get bogged down like they did, thought they could just roll right through Belgium and straight to Paris. The sudden stalemate meant that both sides had to develop ways to break it, bringing about chemical weapons, huge artillery barrages, tanks, etc.

Honestly I'm still excited cause despite Rockstar's greediness they never disappoint in terms of their games. Don't get me wrong I'm keeping low expectations until we see more from them but they've been nothing but consistent with their games so I think it'll be great. One thing I hope they improve upon is the combat, Max Payne 3 is probably one of their best combat systems so if they just took that and just touch it up a bit then it'd be perfect.

@@SlurpyPie thats the thing, its a BILLION dollar game, so the idea of them taking any risk with the combat, is nonexistent, chances are they'll go with what works and play this as safe as humanly possible as to make as many people possible happy and maximize profit, so i expect similar bare bones shooting like we saw in gtaV Now there's two roads, they try to please everyone and end up pleasing no one, as a game for everyone is a game for no one after all, OR they know they're rockstar, they take some big chances knowing people are gonna buy it, and leverage the years worth of hype to make something genuinely cool (like max payne 3, which in inevitably piss someone off who actually enjoyed the crappy shooting of gtaV)

@@SlurpyPie sure you rarely see people raving over it, but you also rarely see anyone complain about it, its so bare bones, gta had a good story, a big open world and decent driving and that's it, best game ever everyone loves it, gtaV for a million years, a million remakes and nobody said shit until it just became ridiculous and people realized they were still playing the same ps3 game Same with red dead, outstanding story and presentation and world so i get the love there, but mission design is horrendous, and has barely any fights that highlight how good the combat really is (why ALL these videos were set up with mods) and despite all this they still sell a billion copies with nothing but praise outside of the occasional "hot take"

@@fobo3361 For me I'm one of those fans that while enjoys the games Rockstar makes don't really ignore their flaws especially with GTA 5, it was one of my favourite games growing up and it still holds a special place in my heart, but I can't deny it's showing its age (ironically however it's somehow aged better than some games today which says alot). As for Red Dead while I agree for the most part I still don't think the game doesn't highlight how good the combat is it does a pretty good job of it but my problem is more on the fact it never properly explains all the mechanics although it'd probably would've been hard considering how complex it is but still it would've been nice for them to go a little deeper in explaining it. In terms of the mission design, I get why they did it for storytelling reasons but it's way too restrictive and discourages creativity for cool gameplay moments so hopefully they make mission more open ended in GTA 6.
