The software to program the Modicon M171/M172/M173 is EcoStruxure Machine Expert HVAC (former SoMachine HVAC).
The software can be downloaded from our website:

The EcoStruxure Machine Expert HVAC is free but the user will need to register the software.
The user will need an account in our License Portal in order to register the software:
www.se.com/ww/...
In order to program the Modicon M173 you will require the programming cable TM171ADMI to download the application from the laptop to the controller.
In order to program the Modicon M173 you will require a USB Type C.

Hello. There are 2 questions about programming of this PLC: 1. Can we use PIDadvanced function block to provide PID control of desired parameter? (In this FB description is next information: it is designed to be operated on TM170 and TM171 controllers). If we cannot, how can we execute PID control in M173? 2. There is SERVO function block in Unity Pro software. It designed to work with PID controllers and convert PID block output into MORE/LESS pulses to control servo motor. Is there something similar to it in Eco Struxure Machine Expert software? (I did not find it).

buenas tarde tomas te puedo consultar si el equipo tm172 se podria montar como servidor web y adquirir datos y enviarlas mediante nodered a otros dispositivos

Buenas Marcelo, con el M172 podes leer o escribir info de/a dispositivos sobre Modbus Serial o Modbus Tcp. Si necesitas conectar a cloud app entonces deberias utilizar el M172SIG/P como gateway del M172 (si los dispositivos son Modbus no hay necesidad del M172 PLC) y utilizar el MQTT

@@LeTomasAHUMADA buenas tomas todo bien entendido si ahi ya entendi , mi idea es adquirir los datos del tm172 y enviarlos mediante tcp a un web server o un dispoiitivo que me funcione de gateway como un rasperry o similar , utilizar el tm 172 como adqusiion de datos y enviarlo a la cloud, desde ya muchas gracias, me encanta el contenido ofrecido. a su vez me interesa desarrollar aplicaciones en el campo(central frigorificas,chilller, bombeo) en argentina por eso me gusta la solucion tm172 para dicho
