Why did my stats go down when I modified my weapon?

Make sure it's because a weapon broke or anything, but modifying your weapon doesn't always mean it will increase your stats make sure you only apply better stats and not every stat you get.

No there is no possibility that the stat will go down, however keep in mind that the highest additional stats that can be obtained goes up every 10 levels so if you got the best stats in level 60 for example, in level 70 those stats are not the best (with best I meant the highest possible)

Hi for clarification, Stat rating of AK47 can be transfer to AK15, I already tried it and its work. I'm still not try to transfer stat rating from rifle to shotgun or other weapon if it work.
