of course the turbo will pull on the v6 if its tuned lol take a tuned v6 against a tuned 2.0 see what happens the money you put in that 2.0 to beat the v6 if he did the same you would still lose!

@@TheCoolestCourier tuning a stock v6 Camaro with no mods is a min 23 to 25hp gains to the wheel, get your facts straight before blowing smoke. And the only way you get 50hp gains tuning a turbo is boosting the psi which is a good way to blow your motor you're a joke no wonder you got rid of the car lol I work with cars for a living I wouldn't let you anywhere near one if this is what you claim

That's decent if u can gain that on a v6 honestly I was thinking of the gains I've seen on an na I4. And yeah it is a good way to blow your motor, mine did at 66000 miles. @@jameswright6953 50 hp gains on a camaro 2.0 will not blow the engine...it's the insane amount of torque some of these tunes deliver. It's not the hp of the 4 banger camaro that beats the V6, it's the torque gained from a tune which will be a helleva lot more than the V6 even if it's tuned....That's the real problems with tuning V6s, you can't get good torque numbers out of them unless you're spending a fortune.

I knew the 2.0 would win before I even started the video because it’s tuned and the v6 is completely stock. That’d be like me racing an ecoboost mustang that’s tuned vs me if my 3.7 was stock. Awesome runs but it’s no surprise that a tuned 2.0 would beat a stock v6 Camaro
@TheCoolestCourier
@TheCoolestCourier 6 жыл бұрын
Tony Hernandez yeah, it was definitely an obvious outcome, the point of the video is that the 2.0 is cheap power when tuned. It was less than $400. Until I retune my car the other modifications have added very minimal power

The Coolest Courier still awesome to see the runs nonetheless. The 2.0 Camaro and ecoboost mustang are pretty fast even with minimal modifications. Often times people don’t give them enough credit just because they have less cylinders than the v8

lol mod the v6 and it will be faster than the 4 cyl again. whats the point of this comparison?. Stock 4cyl against stock 6 cyl and v6 will be the faster choice. And what about the sound? v6 sounds way cooler than the 4. Being the owner of a v6, I say this is barely enough for this car. Why would they even make a 4 cyl Camaro?.....v6 is great on gas still has plenty of pick up and go but not super fast. Fast enough for daily driver for sure. Naturally aspirated v6 awesome for the money. Still has great balance and handling without the weight up front of a v8. My two cents....
@TheCoolestCourier
@TheCoolestCourier 6 жыл бұрын
bfvtx all of your points are actually correct except for 1. You have to spend thousands of dollars and go forced induction on your V6 if you want to beat a tuned 2.0 let alone my car. I know a couple of V6 owners on E85 who aren't making as much power as they thought they would. whereas you can spend 500 bucks to get a really nice tune on a 2. 0 and you'll basically jump out in front of everybody because of the massive torque increase. Other than that yes the V6 is the Better Built car and I actually do recommend it over the 2. 0, it drives better, it's more reliable, and it does sound better. Although I do like my current straight pipe setup if you haven't heard that. this video only had a muffler delete.

Honestly, I cant compare a modded car to a stock car. even though the v6 was an automatic, a modified car is still a modified car. It would have been much more impressive to see if there was more road to see if he reels you in and if the v6 had some basic bolt-ons so it would be an even match up!
@TheCoolestCourier
@TheCoolestCourier 6 жыл бұрын
fusion fall That's fair, the reason I like this comparison is because I'm still running the same power that I was before we built the motor and put the Pistons and rods in the car. So what I'm trying to say with this video is that for less than $500, a tune on a 2.0 Turbo Camaro gets the car to be much quicker than a V6.
@fusionfalljc
@fusionfalljc 6 жыл бұрын
That's understandable! In your honest opinion, do you think if the v6 had a tune and a muffler delete the results would be the same? I'm wanting to get the v6 just for the sound and reliabilty; however, if the 4 cyclinder is the way to go I need to know!
@TheCoolestCourier
@TheCoolestCourier 6 жыл бұрын
fusion fall Now that I've had 68,000 miles of experience with the new Camaro platform. Here's my opinion on the first three engines. For the most bang for your buck with a stock car that you won't feel the need to modify hardly at all I would say the SS is Leaps and Bounds better than the 2.0 and the V6. I would do everything in your power to try to find a base model used one at Carmax or another used Market, they can be had for under 30 grand easy. As for the V6 I think it is the superior car to the 2.0 if you absolutely 100% do not want to modify your car in any way. It will be smooth, reliable, handle great and do all of the usual Camaro things, except for accelerate, the V6 is not very quick, there's no getting around that and if you buy one you can expect it to be kinda slow for the duration of ownership because modifying a V6 is very expensive. Now the 2.0 Turbo is by far the most interesting of the bunch. In stock form it feels quicker than the V6 but it is not as smooth of an engine and it is unreliable if you do not immediately install a catch can for the oil that turbo creates. Now like I said if you install a catch can and eventually some steel charge pipes, a simple tune on this car unleashes the Beast. The torque is almost up there with the SS motor, it will not be quite as fast but it's pretty damn close to it. So if you plan to tune the 2.0 Turbo I do think it is a way better and more fun experience driving that car than a V6, it's not even comparable. On a side note I would like to add that I personally think the Fiesta ST and maybe even the Focus ST are the kings of bang for your buck for a fun car, they are older so you can get them for around 19 k. They are not as fun as a new Camaro SS but out of the box they both Drive better than a 2.0 Turbo Camaro and V6 Camaro. But as you can see from my other video when you tune both cars the Camaro is the faster car and it's also nicer on the inside. I hope all that helps, I wanted to be thorough because I wish someone would have told me this when I bought my 2.0. Good luck!

@TheCoolestCourier 6 жыл бұрын
Everything involved in that was $3,000, and that's if you're doing everything yourself. But what I was saying is we did not retune the car to get any power out of the rods and pistons in this video, I had only done that about a couple weeks ago I will make a video on the new tune soon

@@TheCoolestCourier very. The v6 would need a god level tune to be quick without forced induction. One thing I do love about the new auto trend of 4 cylinder turbo cars is that the turbo platform is already there. So it's a matter of having a better full exhaust setup, and even an amatuer tune can give you loads of power. I'm sure most turbos these manufacturers put in cars can handle way more power than they tune them too. But... I love the v6 sound on cars generally speaking so I'd rather spend a little more to install a turbo on a v6! I really like the way the 2.0 looks. Way better then the SS, Cleaner looking and more Camaro looking to me some how. Everybody talks shit about the 2.0 BUT . IF you get one dead cheap like this smart kid did you get a really good looking car that stock handles well and isnt a slouch. Because its boosted from the factory and weighs i think lime 400 pounds less then The SS whatever extra power you get moves much less weight so a 50 HP increase is a much bigger deal in a 2.0 then an SS. I would think if you can get like 80 extra tourque and 50 -75 HP out of the 2.0 safely it will move that relatively light car very nicely. It might not sound awesome but I would be well pleased with like 375 tourque in that chassis at that weight. I would have fun in the canyons and surprising a few people here and there with the anti american 2.0t camaro. Fucking Kid paid in the 20s for a fully loaded Camaro that I think was optioned deep into the 30s MSRP. New car at used car price that will romp nicely with a few cheap mods while looking good with all the options is smart as fuck. Frankly cars are so overpowerd today, unless your a illegal street racer going i a straightline or track rat , you cant use the power anyway. I bet I can have more fun with this car stock or just an intake and tune then the average chucklehead withna ZL1 on the mountain roads here. If you cant mat a car driving on public roads with turns whats the point. Constantly driving at partial throttle bei g afraid to overcook it and eat a tree or fall of a mountain. Cliche now , but slow car fast is more fun then fast car slow. And you cant consider a car that gets to 60 in the 5 seco d range slow in the real world if your pushing hard on real roads with giant rocks, trees and ravines to fall into. Plus if you really want to go fast you get a automatic ZL1 and whats the fun in that. I would rather rev out a little 2.0 with a manual then punch a monster V8 with an auto and just hang on and then drive into a tree. Yes I like going fast but its not everything. This turbo camaro is plenty fast for many fun thi gs one can do in a car. And lime I said, it actually looks classier then the V8 cars IMO.

Jose Meneces I want you to take a second and really think about the price difference in what you just told me. I spent less than $400 on my power modifications which is just a tune. So you had the motor opened up with forged rods and pistons (so you can handle higher boost safely) and a tune for less than $400? Sorry but the forged rods and pistons would be over $400. Then the cost of labor to open the motor and do the install. In addition you've go the cost of the tune (which probably needed to be run on the dyno to tune it). I would guess you've spent a couple thousand dollars in mods and labor total. No big deal, just being realistic.
@TheCoolestCourier
@TheCoolestCourier 6 жыл бұрын
BLACK05GO1 I totally see where you're going with this, there is a little confusion here, my car has been running this tune and the same power levels for over 50,000 miles on my stock rods and pistons. The reason I changed the rods and pistons is so my car can handle over 500 horsepower, not the little 275 horsepower it's putting to the wheels right now. When I recommend a basic tune to people I'm not saying they have to get into their engine at all, the stock rods and pistons can handle a tune no problem, it just might be a good idea to have a catch can and maybe a steel charge pipe which would bring the total cost to about $700. I can see how my video is a little misleading though lol

I don't have this car anymore but I was really into the handling more than anything. I don't really Chase horsepower with cars. I ride sport bikes so every car is kind of slow to me. Tuning an NA motor is not the same as tuning a car with a turbo. That would not be enough to be the 2.0 Turbo Camaro.as far as reliability goes the V6 is a better choice than the 4-cylinder because it will have less issues and less oil build-up in the cylinders. But if you're going to get an automatic go with a charger or Challenger that 8 speed is actually pretty good. The 8-speed in the Camaro is completely disconnected from the driver. It has such a huge lag when shifting yourself, in Camaros and Corvettes getting the manual is like playing guitar, driving an automatic is like playing guitar hero.

Trying to make a car anywhere close to as fun as a motorcycle is like trying to make a motorcycle as comfy as a car. It's just not going to happen. Nowadays I just drive in 2020 Mazda 3 premium and a couple bikes $10,000 gets you a CP3 bike from Yamaha that runs 10.8 in the quarter mile. People don't even realize the value for money you get on two wheels. Supercars are damn near half a million dollars nowadays. Superbikes are still $20,000 in under. And they're so crazy it's not even necessary, like I said under 12K gets you basically anything you want.

alex howard Exactly that's the point. I was at a disadvantage with my manual and I still flew by him.

I have a V6 2015 Genesis. Lowered it and gutted the mid cats.Put on X-pipe and straight pipe duals all the way back.This help alot.Nothing done to engine except K&N filter in factory air box.It is alot more expensive to build the V6 than the 2.0 turbo and they make more parts for the 2.0 turbo than the 3.8 you can even get a stroker kit for the 2.0.
