Awesome racing. A three way tie for 2nd. Great way to resolve the tie with lap times. The obstacle racing is great 🏁

Good to watch. Very close at the end. Thunderbird more for cruising than racing!!

Very close! I felt like I was watching a football penalty shoot out at the end. Hence the silence 😂 I get quite into it as I'm editing as I don't know any of the results until I've edited each race

Wow a _three way tie!!!_ Brilliant way to resolve that with solo runs based on track times! Congratz to the two advancing, most certainly! An obstacle course rally event should spice up the action when that event begins! Nice variety of things in the way, barrels cones & tyres! Just passing along something I saw elsewhere, one host had set up lines of orange barrels along the portions of straightways that were outside the optimal race line of his track, and barrels hit were deducted from a final score. That would be a huge "ask" to replicate for a brand new track design but somewhere down the road when you get more experience with how this upcoming course behaves, it could be an idea.

Yeah I'm really looking forward to it. That sounds cool. I'm going to be trying to minimise the randomness to the race outcome with the obstacles by putting them directly in the path of the vehicles and using markers to ensure they go in the exact same place each time, same quantity etc. Have ideas to add animals 🐄🐄 crossing etc, pile of boxes stacked high. Cars must be fast, but people can be inventive in finding ways to help bulldoze the obstacles away from them and/or towards the competition's side of the track! Tournament structure will be different too, with points being linked to teams and teams having a couple cars in for different types of challenges. Points will be added up across different group stages, with each team participating in multiple group events before any eliminations. Thanks again for the checkpoint idea, I will be using that - whoever can get the furthest the fastest will get the most points!

Super close! Thanks for making the trip

Mildly funny to hear engine noises from your EV, Milestone. Don't some EV models do just that, broadcasting motor noises through external speakers? Great to see you moving on in the event!
@XRDiecastRacing8 ай бұрын
With the exhausts you see boy racers putting on a 1L Corsa to make them roar, I wouldn't be surprised to see electric speakers on EVs to do the same 😂

@@Chris_Hood I know they have to make some sort of audible sound in reverse by law. I'm sure there's somebody out there blasting engine noises through their car speaker as they drive around!

Congrats on the channel! how many Crash Racers set did you use to build this wonderful track? the starting 2-lane section is hotwheels? what connector to crash racer did you use? thank you in advance for your reply
@XRDiecastRacing7 ай бұрын
Thanks! I used 5 packs I believe. Hotwheels track at the start which connects straight into crash racers corner without adapters. I replaced my crash racers connectors with custom Slanman customs ones (available on Etsy) which are much better and can be screwed in
