Awesome, this addresses things I’ve been struggling with. Would love more Judo for Jiu Jitsu content.

Dont keep that right arm back, you'll get thrown :(

@@Jbutler.90 It’s true. However on this particular throw my head is leaning way forward over my knee and my arm is bearing heavy weight on his neck. It’s a quick pick and hop but definitely don’t want in lingering too long.

@oldmanjiujitsu6378 any time that arm is straight, you have the high possibility of getting countered. Doesn't matter how far your head comes down or your leg comes up. Your better off throwing the bicep into the face as you reap. Along with this, your chest isn't anywhere close to his. Anyone with a bit of understanding of how to counter this, will. Being too far away is just asking to get thrown. If you're going to extend the leg like you are, you're better off kicking the Calf until it buckles then get close to finish the throw. I'll post a video on how to do a proper Osoto if you're interested!

@@Jbutler.90 Thanks, mate. I know how to do a traditional Osoto. we drilled that in class that very day. If you notice, I've been doing a series of "sloppy Judo modified for Jiu Jitsu." which is why we're picking the leg, getting around the side, bicep to the face, and reaping. And fun fact, most BJJ guys have little to no clue how to counter an Osoto. And the distance is for the drill. It's teaching them you don't have to have hip to hip to reap. You can catch and hop around after picking his leg. But I'm always interesting in sharing between Judo and Jits, so by all means, please give us some goods. :)
