I don't know how well this would work on your saw, but This is how I align my fence parallel to the saw blade. First, I make sure my miter slots are parallel to the saw blade (adjust table as needed). Then, I loosen the fence adjusting screws, slide the fence up to the saw blade (raise the saw blade to its highest position), lightly clamp the fence to the saw blade (make sure nothing is binding), then tighten the fence adjusting screws. Check for alignment.

Hello great info I own the same table saw. Question, do you know if the ryobi table saw accept dado blades?
@moyperezwoodshop17228 жыл бұрын
+Jose Mirella Negrete thank Jose. the Arbor is just too short to allow a Dado stack. I would say it is too unsafe to even try
@danburch99898 жыл бұрын
My Ryobi BT3000 accepts my stacked dado blade set. You have to remove the spacer (yours may have a 1/4" or 1/2" spacer) from the motor shaft to allow the stacked blades to slide onto the arbor far enough so the nut can be screwed onto the arbor far enough to make the set up safe. You'll of course need a throat plate for your dado set.

Hi Moy, I'm curious does your table saw blade wobble? p.s.: I've made my own table saw by mounting a regular Bosch circular saw to a desk bottom and it works pretty ok, but the blade itself wobbles a little. And I guess this is the reason why often see some marks on the material after cutting.
@moyperezwoodshop17228 жыл бұрын
+Denis BBB hi Denis. No this tablesaw doesn't wobble, but this is my third tablesaw I've owned. My previous tablesaw did have a wobble. The reason being cheap Arbor bearings. I eventually fried those bearing and threw the saw in the trash. It's really not worth the money or time to replace those bearings on an inexpensive saw. By the way just about every circular saw I've owned had blade wobble, I'm assuming it's the same problem with the bearings..but have never taken it apart to find out for sure

Moy, I bought a ryobi 10" table saw and I had some issues with it, from the fence to the miter was all garbage.as I'm new to wood working, I started to watch videos and learned a lot from all of you guys, but I still need to deal with the table saw.I copied your fence and got a lot better, but my table saw has some grooves and all kinds of waves(the actual brand is stamped on top of the metal part of the table) and the surface is a bit coarse. The question is if you can make a tutorial of the one that you have. Thanks.
@moyperezwoodshop17228 жыл бұрын
+Luciano Condorelli I actually made a video on my tablesaw a while back. it sounds like we have the same saw. some things you really can't do anything about but adding side extensions and an out feed table helped me out. You can also clean the surface up an apply paste was and that will help everything slide freely.
@KN-ek4wi5 жыл бұрын
I think you should make one in the video so that every one can know what you did to improve the fence and i agree with (Sick Naban) you must use plywood in stead of particle board , plywood will give best results
@davogifman5425 жыл бұрын
I have may have the same model Ryobi RTS10G I basically done the same thing with my fence because they are CRAP lol anyways I took some plastic folders for notebooks,but the plastic felt like the type milk jugs are made of,and some 5 minute epoxy glued it to the bottom coarse side down then just to say I did; I waxed that,and the table an from about 1/3 of the way up the fence you could take one finger slide it anywhere you wanted it. Just like smooth butter lol Thanks for sharing your video good job.👍 Ya know the sad part is... If Ryobi would have put maybe $10.00 more into making the fence they probably would sell a lot more table saws lol I'm watching this in 2019 So I hope everyone has had a good one,and I hope tomorrow is a better one for us all 😎

Good fence but it does not go all the way across the wood sides of the table, that reduces the width of wood you can rip. Also if you could extend the fence so that the bar at the end (presently in the middle) it would make it much stiffer and more accurate.
@moyperezwoodshop17229 жыл бұрын

yes these cheap fences are just a place to start. I have a Ryobi with one of those cheap fences. I recently put screws thru 3 holes in fence into.a 2 x 6 board that is longer than the fence on front and rear.. this gives great stability. the fence is slightly in the locked position but not fastened . I have light thin board at an angle attached originally with two clamps that holds the workpiece down and stops kick back. I did away with a clamp and replaced with a screw into 2 by six.. I don't like using clamps my next mod is a putting a knob into a circular slit in wood that will allow me to just change the slanted feather board to fit the workpiece it's hard to describe over phone. I think it's safe I'm looking for somebody that has done this. I have seen tablesaws do this the craziest things. we spend a lot of time for accuracy and safety'. .

Oooops... suggest not to connect the two pieces of practical board through the fence where the screws may be inadvertently hit by the sawblade. Treat the inside particle board (closest to the blade) as sacrificial such that you may freely raise the blade up into it when operating the saw, especially when making an angle cut in your stock (chamfered edges) When you've put more than enough cuts into it just replace it with another piece of scrap.

You do have to spend some time setting the saw up... blade, fence, etc. But once done, the saw is great. Fairly compact which is Nice kzbin.infoUgkxXh-4_3-ZT1fFWP91ZV7iVqzElr0lEb-a I did get an Incra Miter Gauge which takes some setup as well. The stock miter gauge can be adjusted in the miter slot with a little painter's tape... this tightens up the side to side play a lot.
