Love your videos man. Just noticed that huge bit of rust on the chassis at 5:36 when you brought the first part of the exhaust under the Landy. It doesn't look like surface rust to me, it looks like serious rust that would potentially be an MOT fail. Seems crazy to be doing all this work when the vehicle isn't 100% structurally sound.

@juicemotors3 жыл бұрын
Smoky engine? It’s an 18 year old diesel Land Rover.... rusty chassis has been fully wax treated post works
@bealzibub40023 жыл бұрын
@@juicemotors you can’t just wax over rust. Under the gearbox mount is a really common area for rotting out and yours was no exception as can be seen when you fitted the new exhaust. Rust needs treating properly and the area painted before any wax treatment or it can just accelerate the problem. Also, one of my defenders is a 17 year old td5 with almost 150000 miles and it certainly doesn’t smoke like that so maybe it needs looking at a bit 👍🏻
@juicemotors3 жыл бұрын
We use a wax and paint mixture which is specifically designed to tackle direct application to rust. We steam, degrease, sand and prepare the chassis’s on a weekly basis for this treatment. There is certainly nothing wrong with the engine in this 90, the smoke you see from the exhaust is a mix of loosing silencers, a new exhaust, sealants and a non serviced engine starting up for the first time in over 2 weeks after having heavy surgery. It’s perfectly healthy and drives flawlessly

It is illeagal to tamper with emissions control equipment but as longs the vehichle dosent emit more than the legal limit of harmfull gasses . I was told that cars were failing mots for it . Like i say it is illegal to tamper with any emissions equipment but the vehicle if under the emissions limits itl pass its mot . However i was told by dvsa that they are trying to make it so that cars trucks etc that have bn tampered with will not pass an mot . Its a pity this is the case as these emissions controls strangle an engine . Uv got that landy sounding great and i bet itl be much more powerfull too . Thats quite the exhaust that u fitted . Looks and sounds great . Massive brakes too . Ud wonder if such vehicles should have these brakes as standard . . I dont want u to think im a hater and a trouble causer im really not .
