I agree with the downpipe advice, I only recently got a catless downpipe installed (no other exhaust mods) and the downpipe complents the sound as is.

Nice video bro. I have a similar setup to you, Uni stage 2, CTS downpipe, uni intercooler, dogbone mounts, turbo inlet, uni carbon fibre intake. and most importantly it's black! Am installing the AWE touring catback tomorrow. Am considering a turbo muffler delete too. Am leaving DV stock. The only mod I regret is the intake as it was expensive as it only adds some nice sound and no power. I had my engine carbon cleaned last week (walnut blasted) - feels new again.

To put in my two-penny worth, the best modification you can really, really benefit from your GTI or any damn car is a nice set of tires. DO NOT CHEAP ON TIRES. I live in California so I'm always sporting a set of summer performance tires (Continental ExtremeContact Sports). In addition lighter wheels instead of flashy ones is recommended as well. I'm on Stage 2 with a ton load of modifications but again, tires, tires, tires.

Just wanna let you know, I just found your channel, i have a 2020 MK7.5 GTI PP with a JB4 Map 6, Carbon Fiber APR cold air intake & MBRP Catback exhaust. But besides that I’m stock, I just bought the paddle shifters & the sequential turn signals from your Amazon link, I saw some sequentials on ECStuning but honestly I wanted to go a cheaper route so I’m looking forward to seeing how they turn out! AWE can still throw a CEL, and you need to be aware that the reason people don't recommend using a DP without a tune is because there is a chance it can put your car into limp mode.

@@GOODSATIVA There are companies that go to great lengths to get as close to stock in terms of their construction while also flowing better, and they can probably deliver a pipe that doesn't throw a CEL 99% of the time. But at what cost? AWE and Remus both want close to $2000 for their downpipes alone...it seems foolish to spend that much and not actually make sure the ECU it's utilizing it. It might be due to installation error, but I have seen a few posts on the forums claiming they would occasionally get a CEL with downpipes that claimed to guarantee no CEL. Don't get me wrong though I think a DP that is designed in a similar fashion to the OEM pipe is better than catless or having the cat down by the midpipe.

in your infotainment settings there's a convenience window setting to change to all windows

That's because in their country they can literally use empty pipes if they want to. They can also just use any downpipe they want without having to make sure it's certified and legal. You probably don't know anything about cars if this surprised you.

I am going to tell your right now that an OTS tune is risky in the sense that there is no guarantee your car is a perfect specimen. Also do not tune your car if you cannot service it yourself as it will result in more frequent service intervals for things like spark plugs and the shops around here charge 200 or something for a 20 min spark plugs job that you will need to do every 10k or you will feel a massive drop in power. If you can service the car then I suggest you get a high flow drop in filter for your airbox which is already extremely good, and then get a downpipe along with an exhaust if you can swing it. And then for a tune you can pick up a COBB AP and search in your area for someone who can go over your car and then do a pro tune. I am speaking from experience on the tune portion, modding is mostly research and my experience with my MK6.
