On their website it shows that it’s 10”x7”x2.5”. I assume that it is 2.5” with it expanded out. Meaning that the zipper pouch is 1.5” deep and the expansion is 1”. Is that correct? Also, after having some time to run it in different situations do you feel that the 10x7 is bulky in anyway? I bow hunt so wondering if it would get in the way of my draw.

this doesn't seem better than a spiritus MKv with the CCS pouch. That alone will get you to the same set up as this but for cheaper, and arguable better modularity as well. cool kit though nonetheless.

The Spiritus Mkv rig is more expensive. It's over $200 for the same setup as the FTT. The FFT is $189 with free shipping. But yes, they are similar.

The pouch I just built out I made for Turkey hunting / & prepared tactical shenanigans. I like full tangs take on this style of system & more so how you adapted it. Definitely makes me wish I could platform my own kit haha.

what mag pouch are you using for this kit?

Mine is a T3 kangaroo pouch Triple M4. You can use a wide variety of them. Just make sure you use one with a bottom retention, or your mags will slip through. The beez combat systems makes the APTUM that will work aswell.

Good review. I'm in the same boat with you on HPG. "If it ain't broke, don't fix it" kind of mindset. Would be nice to see some type of adjustment like attachments that marry with 1in buckles. I was looking at Fish-Hunt-Fight gear but I might try this one out first.

You know, after watching different videos (and yours twice) about this chest pack, I am more inclined to buy one! I will continue to use my HPG Heavy Recon Kit Bag for wilderness use, but can see this as part of my tactical setup!

I use "SIDEWING H3 (HALEY STRATEGIC)". Although it's not designed for it. I've had to lightly modify with zip ties to make it work. The issue is that the beez wings hook section are 9.5" wide by 5" tall. While the FTT kit bag has a loop section is 11" wide and 6" tall. So you have to use zip ties to help it work well. Full tang tactical is going to release their own version of wings soon. So they will merge perfectly into it. You can wait for the real deal to arrive or rig it with the Beez HSP setup.

You know, I have been looking at the helikon tex bushcraft rig it was like 80 bucks at the time, seemed small and light enough that it wouldn't be so intrusive as a front admin pouch, but I really like the modularity of this. I'd want something I can keep streamlined and low key when just hiking without drawing attention, but if the need arises I can add that mag carrier behind it, I really like the versatility and modularity of this. I'm going to have to give this a really good look.

I never heard you say who makes it, if I was a warfighter, I could see the validity of this. But maybe thinking it could be converted into a hunting chest rig, like during archery an gun season along with my climber on my back, hmmmm, lots of food for thought here. Thx for the vid

The design of this isnt supposed to be a war Fighting chest rig. "I" made it into one. The creator is an avid hunter, fisher, and outdoorsman. To my understanding, his intent was to create something for anyone to add or modify for their preferences.

I was in the same thought process. I really liked the HPG heavy, but I needed more. But that's just me. You may not need the FTT kit bag. If you enjoy the HPG and don't see a need to upgrade, keep on using it!

Curious to see (close ups) how you have the side pouches and mag pouch mounted, as well as the danger. I was all set to get the HPG heavy recon bag but now I may be rethinking this!

The FFT kit bag has a hook backer to it so i add the beez combat systems side wings as additional molle space. its not exactly made for the kit bag but it works well.
