Dear Mr. Rindfield, I have been studying for the security ccna exam for a while now, and the ASA by far is the most frustrating topic in there. First, off I do not get the fact that Tcp and udp inspection is turned on by default. I have looked everywhere trying to find where this setting is so that I cam experiment with it a bit, but had no luck. No document ever mentions where to find such setting. All they talk about is icmp inspection. I tried configuring no service policy at all, and TCP applications like telnet and http could still get through. Does that mean that the default TCP inspection is being performed on these applications or not. This is so different from zbpfs where you have to implicitly allow inspection for traffic to pass through. I would appreciate your feedback so much.
