Sounding proper good - making a decent transition is the key to playing a set, sounds to me like you’ve been into DJ’in previously. There are a lot of muzos out there who have got into eurorack, and because it lends itself quite nicely for making Techno, that’s just what they’ll do. I’m not nocking them, glad that there discovering the vibe. But you can tell who’s been into Techno on a deeper level prior to getting modular gear : )

Really good stuff. Is everything that sounds like a delay in this coming from the Desmodus? (I thought that it was just a reverb) It sounds fantastic here, especially as it seems to be your only effect? Making me want to swap my Verbos multi delay out for a Desmodus!

Thank you Mike 🙂 ! You're right, the desmodus is mainly a reverb but depending how you tweek the knobs, it can acts as a crunchy delay. However, for this patch, i used a second enveloppe/vca/filter to re-trigger the main voice at differents moments. The second filter's frequency is randomly elvolving and is randomly panned. This technique result on a "delay" effect on the main voice. I also have the multi delay processor from verbos since a couple of weeks. Love it but got problem with it and i just had to send it back to manufacturer for repair... Using both seems to be a good combinaison 👍

Cool set, I would love to hear it with some mastering to really beef up the sound! Which do you prefer out of Marbles and Music Thing? I have a Marbles that I was intending to get some random sequences out of, but can never get any good patterns on the fly so I just use it as a random modulator. Is the Music Thing better at that sort of thing? You get some really cool patterns out of it here!

Thank you! Mastering, yes it would be great....but, I like the idea to keep this setup without computer. I love playing in the sofa far away from computers. Choosing between Marbles or the Turing Machine is difficult. I agree that for techno bassline I prefer the TM (I love unquantized sounds for making techno). I think the only thing that is missing on the TM would be the ability to loop over 7,9 or 11 steps. Marbles is very powerfull and I also love it but it's more menu diving...

@@NCLSRD Interesting that the turning machine doesn't do polyrhythm's/polymeter's. I totally overlooked that fact assuming it would have at least a reset trigger. I'll probably still get one just based on your jam alone. If you don't want to master in a DAW, perhaps look into an Elektron Analog Heat, OTO Baum or RNLA for the end of your chain, they can glue everything together, limit, compress and warm up the signal. Subbed looking forward to more Jams!

can you explain a little about how you control the LIP, you also have some double cables. looks like the turing machine gate is put to LIP's trigger, and the turing machine cv is going to the shape of LIP? and you don't have any pitch input, you use another cv of turing machine goes into both the time and morph of LIP?

also around 54:16, you have have a sequential cv goes into the filter cutoff? make it open more wide sequentially?

hey NCLS , just a question that u may help me to resolve , does a arturia minibrute 2s a good intro 2 modular 6stem ? it s semi modular but less expansive than a seq ,an osc , a VCA , a VCF ...... may the force be with u
