Okay, that wedding shoutout was too cool! Getting a wedding congrats over a 2400 watt Mod was awesome!

I want 2 things in my life. A FS Modulator or a Whelen WPS 2900, and to announce my wedding ON those sirens!

Gotta love the Hi-Lo on these Hawaiian Modulators. Also, that's a very nice wedding shoutout.

this siren replaced the second high pitched thunderbolt

Until this month I would faintly hear what sounded like a Thunderbolt 1000T during the monthly test from my house near Leahi Hospital. I thought maybe it was this siren but if the Thunderbolt was replaced in 2019 I don’t know which siren that was. Props for the shoutout to the wedding couple too. 😉🤙🏽

why the live voice message? don't they have prerecorded voice alerts? or is this a new siren being put in

Is that a custom hi lo

To answer your questions: Whoop is programmed as the hazmat tone in HI. This would be indicative of a chemical release in Campbell Industrial Park for example. The Hi-lo is what I really wonder about, since it is a selec-tone tone.

Well, it is a possibility that it could be custom, but over at a coal processing station in Northern Louisiana there sits at least 3 to 5 Modulators. They had a Hi-Lo that sounded like these Hawaiian MODs, but the Hi-Lo was always used for tests. When something actually was happening over there the station sounded them off in Dual Tone ALERT that sounded almost like the Level 6 Thunderbolt Chopper speed setting, aka "Level 6 ThunderMOD". That was back in 2009, so I'm not too sure what they sound like now.
