ბავშვთა ქორწინება გენდერული უთანასწორობის შედეგია და ის ნეგატიურ გავლენას ახდენს ქალთა და გოგონათა უფლებრივ მდგომარეობაზე. მსოფლიოს მასშტაბით, ბავშვობის ასაკში ქორწინების მსხვერპლები უმეტესად გოგონები არიან, თუმცა ზოგჯერ, არასრულწლოვანი მამრობითი სქესისაა. გლობალურად, ბიჭებში არასრულწლოვანთა ქორწინების გავრცელება მხოლოდ მეექვსედია, ვიდრე გოგონებში.
მნიშვნელოვანია, ვიცოდეთ ადრეულ/ბავშვობის ასაკში ქორწინების გამომწვევი მიზეზების შესახებ, ასევე იმ მძიმე უარყოფითი გავლენის თაობაზე, რასაც ადრეული ქორწინება ახდენს არასრულწლოვანთა ჯანმრთელობასა და შემდგომ განვითარებაზე.

Child marriage is a manifestation of gender inequality and has a negative impact on the exercise of the rights of women and girls. Globally, girls are more likely than boys to experience child marriage, although occasionally, early and forced marriage also affects young boys
It is important to analyze the causes of early/childhood marriage, as well as the severe negative impact that early marriage has on the health and the later development of minors.
