Well done sir. The answer in part b should be n = 4 following the concept of BODMAS. n x 2 should be taken as 'y' instead of 4 + n like you did. When you check with your answer n = 2, you get a remainder of 3, but the remainder should be 2 according to the question. 4 + 2 x 2 = 3 (mod 5) but 4 + 4 x 2 = 2 (mod 5), so the value of 'n' should be 4.
