Correct me if I'm wrong but I think trey band played at moe.down one year as well. I don't understand the argument though, I don't see how the two bands are comparable. I love both. Phish is a more goofy/funky vibe while moe. is more shred.

Every time I watch a video by Umphrey's, Moe, Widespread, DMB, or any other jam band, someone is arguing that Phish is better. I can't stand Phish, but I'm not going to watch their videos just to talk about how all these other bands are better. Music is not a competition, it is an opinion.

I have seen Phish twice and I like WSMFP , moe. and Gov't Mule better. I don't go and slam Phish however. I liked them but the aforementioned three jam bands I simply like better. I would go to see Phish again if the opportunity presented itself. I saw the Trey Anastasio Band at the only set he played before he spent some time in jail over possession charges. That set was amazing and he poured his heart into it big time. You could tell it was a big moment for him and the set reflected it.

please describe how you can perceive these people to be "incredibly talented"... I've seen cats playing in local bars that are better musicians. Phish is washed up too they don't even improvise anymore.
