But actions also has to happen for it to come to light!

Bro, think. Ego (I in Latin) is uneffective in teaching something. You have to forget 'I' before teaching stuff. 'I' is a mortal that lives max. 100 years, whereas, the way of mind is one. There is an example of a student being arrogant to his teachers. When he learned a bit of something, he thought that he is better than his teachers. However, this is the worst thing he could have done, going to the wrong path of Shaitan at the very start of his ilm journey. No offence, this example conveys the worst case. Brother Mohammad's way of conveying his observations may not pure but still great and accurate. His weird examples are negligible. Think about the idea, but not the person. Yes, imagination is a great power. Have you seen a man that always put himself in a poor, slave position have power? What you imagine, what you dream, even what you pass through your heart may be accepted by Allah (c.c) as Allah knows what's going on there. There was an awliya who was passing through a passage. He frivolously wished that the trees were silver. Meanwhile, Allah turned the trees into silver. Awliya saw this and smiled, and praised Allah (c.c). What you dream is what you get. Way of Sufism starts with controlling what you think, harder than way of Sharia which you only have to control actions. For example, thinking bad things are haraam for one's who are real Sufi's. Another awliya was on a journey and saw a dervish beg for money. He thought to himself from his heart that begging is a bad think and dervish shouldn't have done it. After a while -I forgot the rest, he had been warned by Allah in a way and this is a kissa (story) for us to take hissa (moral). As a conclusion, imagination is a way of dua. Greater your imagination, greater you contemplate about creation, greater dua you make to Allah. If you don't have sufficient imagination, you will be limited in improvement and be depressed, and forget about goals. You will fall into masiva. Yet, imagination is not enough but a must. You have to wield imagination with actions to have a yield. You can't plant a seed without thinking to plant a seed. You can't harvest without hustling up the seeds no matter how many days you imagine. With salaam and dua.
