Those "Moon" steering wheels with the metalflake gloss vinyl rims were certainly popular in the 1960s. I recall around 1990 working as a race car fabricator walking into a race supply called JFK in the San Fernando Valley and finding in one aisle a pallet box full of those wheels in all colors with a sign on the side of the box saying $1.00 each. They were manufactured a few miles away at Superior Industries. Nearby in the race shop there were the same steering wheels with gloss black vinyl or flat black foam rims hanging on a rack with a $35 price. I liked the foam rims. Had one in my 61 F100 with a 428 Cobra Jet, 1 in each of my 2 Baja Bugs, 1 in my offroad race buggy and a couple more in the garage.

Another great video Tim! You did a really good job on the weathering! I always save the empty parts trees and when I get a model box full, I go through them and clip the long straight pieces that only need a couple sprouts cut off, and I save them for stirring sticks. They’re great for mixing paint or putty or those bottles of blue paint that separate between uses. I use them for all kinds of things, sometimes they can be used instead of Evergreen plastic rods!

Great video, nice build. It’s in my queue! On the wheels, if you take some time to sand the nubs on the wheels they go in the tires without damaging the tires. I found that on the F100 kits. This kit would really benefit from sanding the back of the grill until you can see through the grill.

Nice build. On the passenger side you could have filled it with a thin piece of styrene and painted it metallic black. It would look closer to the floor pan. Also don't be too quick to throw out the spruces. You can get a lot of different exhaust pieces with the different lengths and curves. Have a good weekend.

Nice video! I like the way you present your builds. I keep all my sprue material. I've used it to scratch build other parts for other models. As an example, I needed some styrene rod and didn't have any, so I used a piece of sprue. I've also used small pieces of sprue to make the cylinders of a B-29 Bomber engine. So...I find that having some sprue around can be helpful.
