Mobius was actually a better artist than picasso and Matisse. Time will give him justice as he just passed away in 2012

Been a Moebius fan for years. Happy to see him getting love and appreciation by more readers here in the states. As an artist, his work is the most exciting to examine. And since incorporating elements of his design and high concept fantasy into some of my original work, I find myself thinking further and further away from traditional comic art. Which is in alot of ways, very limiting.

EU comics? Do you mean European comics? There's no such things EU comics. It would be similar to describing Marvel or DC comics as Republican comics, because that's the political establishment currently in power in the US.

I always got the feeling that Moebius may have taken a great influence from Herge. I mean Moebius, not Gir. His drawings in the Edena series and even on the Incal resemble a lot the drawings from Tintin with a bit more complexity, fantasie and use of perspective. It's like progressive ligne claire. Which is great. I grew up with Herge as my childhood hero (unusual, I know) and Moebius is now probably the cartoonist I most admire.

I been to a lot of comic shops back in my past and I have to say the vast majority of Moebius work I saw had nothing to do with his Marvel comic he did with Stan Lee(not dissing it either) So when you say the "VAST MAJORITY" of people in AMerica probably know him by that largely forgotten or underappreciated work, I have to think this is just another attempt by KZbin creators to pretend they actually know what they are talking about. Anyway Proceed.

Aaaahm, no, you´re wrong. Many people ask me for recomendations of silver surfer readings (since he is one of my favorites) and when I mention this one (usually my first option for a recomendation) most people have read it already. Including americans. Blueberry, on the other hand, most americans I meet haven´t even heard about it :S:S

You´re like the people who says they don´t like Picasso´s abstract art, but those are only the ones who don´t know picasso was known as the most technical, photographic and focused on detail painter of his age, for about 20 years. Same thing with Moebius. He can draw in any style he wants, realistic, cartoony... He chose a more simple style for this, but make no mistake, he is better than alex ross and jim lee put together, and both of them would agree to this statement xDxD : brokenbullhorn.files.wordpress.com/2011/03/blueberry-1-cvr1.jpg 3.bp.blogspot.com/-CAXLcvV-NPY/T3YLYLlmfTI/AAAAAAAAbRw/3cE5x61_g3U/s1600/29548.jpg landscapetheory1.files.wordpress.com/2015/02/moebius-arzac-19.jpg stuartngbooks.com/images/detailed/19/moebius_blueberry_geron_1.jpg
