Very helpful. 🙂 To add to your instructions, there is a gasket on the bottom side of the cap. I wiped it down and added some silicone gel to it before reassembling it. Thank you.

Very informative and very helpful thanks!. I think that's called a wrench though not pliers.

Thank you! Been thinking to do what you did for my own that leaks but simply clean the spout and see if leak stops. Not sure if this would work but if this can limit spending. I don't know.

I've found that those 2 O-rings deteriorate over time. This faucet has been in place since 2006. This is the 3rd time I've replaced those O-rings. If the faucet is around 7-8 years old, for sure those O-rings are no good. After you disturb them, they will likely leak more. Replacements sell on eBay for $7-8. See link. You might be able to take the old ones to a good hardware store that stocks a full supply of O-rings, however, in the past, I've found many faucet O-rings to be odd sizes. It's probably best to just buy the OEM parts or if you are the original purchaser, call Moen and they will send the parts for free. www.ebay.com/itm/395298115100?itmmeta=01HT2P0R9A9KYSBPQVKF6ZM1J7&hash=item5c099a8e1c:g:CWIAAOSwZSxmA6XA&itmprp=enc%3AAQAJAAAA4POOHGeOZAcXVPBTRf%2BFR6HGHvBENTaJeRLIfdWRQ%2Bb0eOWca2D2vCP%2Fw8uM9uUy8cUPgX9AOEANVylLDrPS6bDCosWfnoPqDEvvkA1lZI%2Feb0KEcopE1K%2B8gIAxzHjkGIbARSCptdceP2itgQfVWX5R%2FYfFgREaC4ng2wBm7fooyz7f7xUJhVagXk2fqHohkq8GPzH7pg2WPnQqhkgzS%2BmcgJeH8Rdkm44kIRMSYDFrhlXlSgI4rTdjzH6G0rUwU0GFmmbEUl1LdgeeS8v0lvB6NuN%2Ba4oobC80MOD79Npx%7Ctkp%3ABFBM9oSD1tBj

What is the purpose for the bearing washer on the spout? I see you didn't use the large rubber o ring. Is that an extra part that is not needed?
@Know-How-Now8 ай бұрын
The bearing washers prevent metal to metal contact. No I didn't use the big o ring. The washer kit is used on more than one faucet model. That big o ring must be used on another model. You just need the 2 smaller ones for this faucet.
