You're right... It's different. On the album, the chorus splits up the "first verse," creating two verses... Then that extra verse does not appear. Most likely, it was changed in the studio under the guidance of Bob Rock. My best guess is that he felt the song was too long, possibly too repetitive, and needed to be broken up more. That's just a guess, though.
