I use the same team as yours but I cannot decide with Yelan or Xingiu. Yelan DMG is much stronger but Xingiu brings interruption and minor healing for Wanderer. My Layla HP is just 30k (full BS artifact set), so her shield strength is not so good. What do you think?

I have no regrets pulling for him. He's level 90 with 9/9/9 talents right now, plan to crown him. I already have four full teams that work in possibly every Abyss so I always use the same characters to get 36*, so damage is the last thing I am looking at when picking a new character to pull for. He's incredibly fun to play and without a shield, it's like hard mode, making it more challenging for myself lol. Shield for him is for comfortable playstyle like with any character who needs a shield. I think his flying is something to get use to, but I don't get knocked around anymore. Importnat thing is that after being hit while flying, press sprint as if to dodge, and he will immediately pick himself up, you don't have to wait for him to fall and recover by himself. Totally love him character wise, love the outfit and it literally feels like creative mode activated when playing him.

layla is a great alternate for zhongli here btw! nothing beats his 20% res decrease but layla still offers a comfortable shield, and consistent cryo application which is nice for occasional 20% crit

Wanderer and Alhaitham have the best character design in the whole game imo. The lightblue + white palette on him is so damn pleasant to look at. He is also very fun, especially when you pull off a last second dodge + arrows. He has a uno reverse card as a passive

He's incredibly fun and surprisingly strong, even though I threw random artifacts on him, which for whatever reason, gave him the best stats of any build on my account. Its been a long time since I had this much fun playing and he barely has any problems in abyss

As a day 1 wanderer haver, (skipped nahida and cyno for him) his second passive basically gives him extra damage and a free dodge which activates around 90% of the time if you do 2 normals into a charge or 3 normals into a charge, so you can basically dash before you see the buff symbol

He’s just much higher investment and there’s many other characters who outdamage him and are easier to take to abyss 🫶🏾

I just had a GREAT team idea for Scara: Him, Xinqiu or Yelan, Bennet and Fishl Since he can hold multiple elements at a time you just go Xinqui/Yelan burst, then Benny burst, Fishl E and just attack with Wanderer. (Idk if this is gonna turn out good but okay and also sorry if I spelled Xinqui not right :skull:) (Also if you didn’t understand this team plays off elemental reactions a lot, just causing a ton of reactions such as Superconduct or Electro charged)

I had very similar bad luck with his wishing. Around 210 total wishes and only managed C4 Faruzan, C0 Scara, and signature weapon. I wanted C1 for the attack speed but lost the 50/50 to Diluc. I spent over 25 resin in his domain and still not a good 4 piece so I also use Shimenawa. You could try this team in the future. Bennett, Yun Jin, Scaramouche, Faruzan. His autos can go up to around 55k and 61k charged which is crazy considering its every slash.

Also more scara tips, kaeya's icicles follows him so you might not hit everyone, xiangling's doesn't follow him vertically. Having a shielder other than zhongli or noelle like Thoma or layla allow him to infuse his skill with more consistency. Bennett better support for scara than a dedicated anemo support (faruzan) before her c6, funnily enough, and scara gets healed by benny while he floats

On ascension stats: Crit makes them easier to build. Elemental damage gives more damage overall with good artifacts.

wanderer is my highest dmg character, it used to be yoimiya with around 2,500 base atk, but this dude has 3,000 base atk, i love him, he will get crowned eventually but rn hes level 90 at 888 talents

If you'd like to know, since Wanderer has a seperate bar for flying on his skill/E, he is able to do infinite charged attacks (as long as when the bar runs out) !!!

I struggled this abyss but after getting him I was able to clear floor 3. 1st half: Zhongli, Raiden Shogun, nahida, Wanderer. 2nd half: Benett, Diluc, Kaeya, Xingqui. 1st half was tough obviously because no healer and the 1st chamber is rifthounds, so I was at 500 hp with my characters through floor 2 and 3, but It went pretty smoothly in the end.

Just a tip but if you tap his alternate jump (when he's in floating mode) it will increase your height by a set amount. You can use this to your advantage to fly high even if you tap his alternate jump with 1 alternate stamina left. I imagine this also works for sprinting but I haven't tested it

I tried him today & I think he’s extremely fun to play, I just love how he hits normal attacks from mid air & can move around at the same time, his skill is very useful, deals pretty high damage, his normal & charge attacks also causes reaction as he’s a catalyst user, morover he has crit rate in base stats…so I wonder why so many people are skipping him saying he’s not a great unit 🤔 I also done the same but now I’m thinking differently..

Solar Pearl is best if you arent using a hydro character paired with him. If you use pyro or cryo and solar pearl you gain so much crit rate you can just dump crit damage into him. You auto, then use skill, after 6 seconds your burst gains a damage bonus and you get 6 seconds of large normal attack values.

A weird thing I found out about Wanderer.... if you're using him in Co-Op, Kagura's Verity might be an okay weapon for him. His skill is actually on a short enough cooldown he can get the three stacks from it's passive, although in a normal rotation, I wouldn't recommend it as anything other than the stats, and even then there's better fits. While he can get the three Kagura's Verity stacks, it means keeping him on field for a very long time, making it not ideal, but I thought it was a little fun that he actually can.
