There's something about the Japanese culture that I love so much. People are genuine, hard working, simple and graceful. And their take on food is unique. And it's so cute to see even the little kids enjoying it. So much to learn from this culture.

japanophilic weaboos in full swing in this thread eh lol Raaj my guy, you can find this "genuine, hard working, simple and graceful" street food culture in literally, and by literally I mean *literally*, every country in the world. street food with poor sanitary practices (touching money and food, no hairnets, no gloves, etc.) and little kids enjoying said street foods is the furthest thing from unique ya basically just said "we have so much to learn from this culture because they...eat stuff!" 😅

And thank you so much for keeping records of these unsung heroes of the culinary world. When I was younger and preparing to travel to other countries, my uncle a seasoned world traveler said to me "When your hungry always look for a place that has a lot of locals in it as the food would be really good, if there's a line out the door the food is excellent, if people walk past other places to join that line the food will be fantastic". Never been sick due to the food but had a lot of amazing meals.

I prefer simple yet delicious Japanese meals like this his ramen. Just like in Philippines where simple businessmen roam around from one village to another or staying in an accessible place to serve their customers.. Please send my regards to Otousan and tell him I will be praying for his good health, long life and happiness. Gambatte Otousan 🥰😉

Fifty-some years ago, I lived in Tachikawa and worked in Shinjuku. I'd return late at night and a truck just like this one was always there. I remember practicing my pidgin Japanese over a bowl of ramen and a cold cup of sake.
