Didn't expect this tbh-- especially with the way it started off. It's interesting, but it's not *that* sound from Mogwai that I've been in love with for quite a while. Still going to see them in December regardless and will probably end up feeling this a little more after a while.

Wasn't sure when first heard it but growing on me now to some extent. It's OK. Just thought the song reflects the current mood of the nation (UK) - there are so many problems such as ISIS, desperate refugees, Brexit, social inequality, increased racism, Trump, etc etc. Feels like we are "directionless and innocent" now. We really need something that brings us peace of mind, something that keeps us hopeful. But, just like the guy in Coolverine video, I bet many of us want to shout "enough is enough!" and kick the earth and go off to the space.

@brianorr88877 жыл бұрын
travel is dangerous always came off as quite poppy/accessible to me
@TheMillerman957 жыл бұрын
Very true, and this has the vibe of a mellower Teenage Exorcists, which was seen as Mogwai going somewhat mainstream. Gotta love Travel is Dangerous regardless, still an amazing track.
@Mr_Beebird7 жыл бұрын
Finally some great music on the radio again then. ;) This track reminds me of several others on their last albums like George Square Thatcher Death Party or Teenage Exorcists. I like it when they break the album up with these more joyful, upbeat shoegaze-like songs. It's amazing that they have been making music for over 20 years and that special Mogwainess is still there, no matter if it's a landslide of riffs or a atmospheric slowburner.

Version33 at the moment we have just 2 songs. I liked this but I think Coolverine is 100 times better than this, just an opinion
@TheMillerman957 жыл бұрын
True, tbh, with Mogwai it's hard to gauge any album from just two songs, and while we've heard live versions, could be quite different on finished product. I adore Coolverine but love this also. Opinions are what make Mogwai so great, none are wrong.
