But Azam is even heavier than Inzi. And Inzi still had the stamina to play Tests and ODIs; very little T20s in his career. Azam has only performed in T20s. Does he even have the fitness to last in the longer formats?

And of course he worked on it and that’s why his fitness didn’t interfere with his timing that much. But Azam Khan should be concentrating more on the skills if he can’t do anything about the fitness.

@@shramansen1216 fitness wasn't as big of an issue during his time either. Running very fast between the wickets was more of a luxury than a necessity. Javed Miandad and the late Dean Jones scored many of their runs running hard between the wickets. They were ahead of their time. Now you look at the top teams like Australia and India. Kohli, Warner and others run like energizer bunnies. Teams like Pakistan who don't have anyone that is bothered to run that fast have fallen behind.

Rohit became consistent only after the fact that he knew that he wasn't going to get dropped and was given the confidence to do something new as an opener. From their conversation, it looks like Azam Khan is a special talent, so he should be given a longer rope before he gets dropped.
