@wjspade13 сағат бұрын
The drivers and their parents spending untold fortunes to get them to F1 was their investment. Their salaries, sponsorship revenue, and accolades are the return on that investment. Without the drivers, there’d be no F1. The FIA (and FOM) ought to put more stock in their opinions. Theirs is a unique perspective.

Red Bull will probably hang on to Checo. I'm sure there will be a performance clause in his contract, if he doesn't get so many points by the summer break, RB will be able to drop without paying, and if he performs well enough that the performance clause isn't triggered then they won't need to drop him until the end of the year.

MBS really misses a bunch of braincells. Not asking the drivers where they spend their money should be normal and non of his or FIA's business. The analogy is of course wrong, If he would have said the teams instead of the drivers he might have had the opportunity to make a point, but he also knows the FIA is all over the books of the teams to find any miscalculation or misuse of allocated funds. The same should be applicable to the FIA if MBS did not try to get rid of the auditors and make himself the auditor and steward of everything. Oh the humanity!! His way of thinking compared to goals of FOM, teams and drivers is like amateurism vs professionalism.
