Modern scholors and some earlier scholors made rules which were totally against islam and the way of the prophet and the banning of fighting for sport was one of them, its literally nothing to do with islam. Scholors derived the info to ban fighting for sport from some hadiths, BUT FORGET TO TAKE INTO ACCOUNT THAT THE PROPHET HIMSELF TOOK PART IN FIGHTING SPORTS LIKE WRESTLING. There is even accounts of injuries happening in those events the prophet took part in. So yeah my point being, not everything in islam today is from the prophet, some things have been wrongly derived from hadith without taking other hadith into account.
