@@damii_11 well, this video doesn't show him playing 90mins week in week out, and that's not even why I'm asking, kudus isn't a winger, so the notion he'd be saka's back up doesn't make sense, if you say okay, he plays in midfield, then what happens to havertz, ESR and Vieira, these are players that haven't been tried yet bringing in more would only ruin the balance, except we're about to sell ESR and Vieira which I do not see

From an Ajax fan: i wouldn't really say he can play as a striker. They tried that, but it never really worked all that well. Also doesn't have the highest sprint speed for a winger, but can play there. When he does he mostly still cuts inside into attacking midfield. He's at his best at attacking mid. He's great at ball carrying and creating overloads when dribbling past opponents. Also wins his fair share of duels in midfield as he's pretty strong. Just imo very clearly mostly a midfielder. Ajax just ended up playing him right wing as they lacked anyone for that position but had like 4 first team attacking mids.

I think that depends on the system around him. Jesus likes to come deep to get involved and that seems to work for Artetas style. I can see this guy doing a similar job if needed. At the end of the day it's just more options available to the manager.

Ajax fan here, we struggle a lot to find the perfect position for him. Fantastic player technical but tactical he is not so good. We play him for now at RW because we can give him more freedom and is less responsibility. Lcm isn’t a good idea for him. That will hurt your own team.

His first position at Ajax was actually defensive midfield. Was brought in as the Frenkie de Jong replacement. He's very strong in winning duels and turning into space. As an attacking player, i'd compare his role to what Ziyech did/does. Not fast enough to really stay wide and run past defenders, but goes inside and has great dribbling in tight spaces. Not as creative a passer as Ziyech, but physically a lot stronger.

I know this is a compilation video but this guy looks good! Quick, powerful, can keep the ball and has a shot! If we get him he’s probably backup for Saka but also versatile. Im a bit confused as to where he would play. Hes primarily an attacking midfielder just like Odegaard is now. We've also bought Havertz and Vieira and ESR can play in those positions aswell. He's only established himself in the first team at Ajax in 2nd half of last season. Imo they should refuse to sell so quickly, we've barely got to enjoy him. Has been one of the only bright spots in a terrible season. Hoping they'll tell Arsenal to go away now after getting Timber, or just ask an unreasonable amount. We can't replace him really.
