It is a bad comment in bad faith. No one has loved Rafi more than India and even his discovery by music director Sham Sunder is a proof of it. Remember contribution of O. P. Nayyer, Madan Mohan, S. D. Burman, Chitragupta, Ravi, Shankar Jaikishan, Roshan for his singing. Everyone of them understood his worth and carved this gem. Don't be shallow and come out of this complex.

The average length of a song is about three to four minutes, which does not effect the length of the film. It was due to some other reason. But I remember the song “ Chirag dil ka jalao bahut andhera hai........”in the film when I saw it the first time, but not the second time.

Davebhai your information is partially incorrect. Chiragh Dil Ka Jalao was included in the film but removed from later prints. The song from Parwana was also removed from later prints but was there in the original cinematic release. One other song from Heer Ranjha (Tere Koonche Mein) was also presumed to be omitted from the final print but again this is incorrect. Fortunately, that can now be seen on this platform. I can't recall anything about the other two songs you refer to, but I will check my database and get back to you..
