The Mohan Shakti National Heritage Park, known also as Solan Heritage Park, is a contemporary Indian heritage complex located in Harat, near Solan, Himachal Pradesh, India. Situated approximately 40 kilometers south of Shimla, 15 kilometers north of Solan, and 85 kilometers northeast of Chandigarh, this expansive site spans 40 acres. Founded by Kapil Mohan, a retired Brigadier General of the Indian Army and recipient of the Padma Shree award. It is associated with the Mohan Meakin Limited liquor-manufacturing family business of Solan and Ghaziabad. The construction of this heritage complex, which includes an impressive garden and park, along with a significant Hindu temple at its summit, required an investment of around Rs 100 crore.
Perched on a hillside offering views of the Himachal valley and the foothills of the Himalayas, the complex features a prominent temple adorned with two large "Om" symbols at its entrance and a depiction of Surya in a seven-horse chariot on its pinnacle. The temple showcases artwork depicting Hindu legends from the Vedas, Ramayana, and Mahabharata, complemented by motifs of Indian culture such as statues of elephants, lions, tigers, peacocks, and river dolphins scattered throughout the park. Additionally, life-size statues of renowned Vedic rishis and Hindu mythological figures and deities enrich the site.
The park was inaugurated on December 1, 2002, by Atal Bihari Vajpayee.
