There are mantras you can chant outside and others you chant inside. From what I learned you chant inside to strength things from within. When you chant outside you strengthen the walls of the home. I hope this helps

@ Oumlenn, Thank you for your question. Mantras can be chanted by pronouncing them verbally or silently. Some are recommended to be chanted either verbally or mentally only. If pronounced aloud, they should be 20% audible outside and 80% inside, so that you feel it and your body vibrates like a musical instrument. If you chant only aloud, then you just make noise.
